I have a windows 32 bit license for IDL. I was trying to download the trial version of IDL on Ubuntu 32-bit but it didn't allow me to. Maybe I am going about this wrong.

Unfortunately, 32-bit installers for Linux based operating systems have not been supported since IDL 8.2. To request a previous installer link, please send an email to support@exelisvis.com. Below is a link to a help article for Platform and feature support that may come in handy. Platform and Feature Support for Current and Previous Versions http://www.exelisvis.com/...cleID/4627/4627.aspx You may also run into licensing issues if you are attempting to run a Linux based version of IDL off of a Windows based license.dat file. Due to platform locks in the license itself, running any VM on a machine is viewed as a different machine and OS. A Windows license will only run IDL on the Windows side. Hope this helps. Thank you
