Reprojection method used by ENVI layer stacking of rasters of different projections

    Hi, I notice that ENVI's tool "Reproject Raster" needs to select a conversion parameter of Method from Polynomial, Triangulation and Rigorous. When I do "Layer Stacking" of rasters of different projections, ENVI automatically reproject the rasters to the same projection for me. But I can't find out what conversion parameter of Method the Layer Stacking uses for the reprojection. I seem to have no control over this reprojection parameter in the Layer Stacking.

    I have a few rasters that are reprojected either directly from the Reproject Raster or indirectly by using Layer Stacking. I want to make sure we have the same reprojection parameters used in the reprojection so that the reprojection results are always identical.

    Has anyone known the reprojection parameters used by the Layer Stacking?

    In Layer Stacking, all layers other than the base layer (first file added) is reprojected to the same projection as the base layer. Layer Stacking uses envi_convert_file_map_projection with a warp method = 2 (triangulation) to do this reprojection.

    Thanks for the info! In the GUI I didn't see an option to choose the warp method from triangulation to the others. Is it only possible to change the warp method in the IDL code?

    In both the Layer Stacking GUI tool and ENVI_LAYER_STACKING_DOIT, you do not get an option to change the warp method. It will always use triangulation. You could reproject the data separately and use the warp method of your choice and then resize it to match the base layer, then save the data together using New File Builder. However it is considerably more steps.
