I am using IDL 6.2, to render an isosuface from a 256x256x256 array. Without warning, my computer sometimes kicks me back to my login screen when I try to change the isosurface level, rotate, or do something that requires rendering. Here's my system info: >uname -a Linux sharp 2.6.17-1.2157_FC5smp #1 SMP Tue Jul 11 23:24:16 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux I have an Intel Xeon CPU 3.06GHz processor with 512 KB cache and 2GB physical memory (RAM?). Is this a bug in IDL 6.2? It happens in IVOLUME, XVOLUME, and some demos that have 3-D graphics.
