I'm running 6.3 on a Mac and I don't seem to have the discrete wavelet routines wv_dwt.pro nor wv_pwt.pro. I cannot compile them nor locate the source code. Anyone run into this problem?

The source code for WV_DWT and WV_PWT is not provided in the IDL distributions. Rather these are provided via the shared object library 'idl_wavelet.so' in the IDL subdirectories '.../bin/bin.darwin.ppc/' or '.../bin/bin.darwin.i386/'. You could see their "module definition" in the file 'idl_wavelet.dlm' in the same directory. The IDL Wavelet Toolkit is not installed by default when one does a routine IDL installation with the X installer. They are an extra option that needs to be explicitly selected by the user. If you are not finding the above-named files, then you should probably perform a reinstall/modify-install of IDL, this time making sure to select the "Wavelet Toolkit" option. James Jones
