With all the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors etc out there I'd love to see some results on performance before I go and fork out for something. Anyone that has a core 2 duo processor I'd love to compare the extreme vs the "std" version. I'd also like to hear from others on the value of their graphics card. About to take on a big job involving digital photography (over 20 000 images) and some reasonable chunks of Lidar data so am up for a new machine. Recommendations welcome (and what not to buy) will be maintaining a windows platform.
