Account Manager - Oil and Gas - Boulder, CO

The Commercial and Government team plays a pivotal role providing support to existing customers and identifying new customers of Exelis VIS. As an Account Manager you will evangelize tools like ENVI, LiDAR, ESE, and IDL throughout the Energy and Environmental communities with a particular focus on the Petroleum Industry.  A detailed understanding of the Petroleum Industry including the processes for exploration, extraction, and refining is necessary.

Essential Duties:

  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales quotas
  • Build and manage a territory plan for Energy and Environmental Industry accounts
  • Organize and conduct sales meetings and technical demonstrations for customers within the Energy and Environmental Industries
  • Consistently and accurately maintain current information in CRM system
  • Effectively communicate customer needs and market developments to the product team
  • Understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years Oil and Gas experience supporting the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream operations and quota achievement
  • Comprehensive understanding of Petroleum Industry acquisition process and the corresponding sales cycle associated with Petroleum Industry procurement
  •  Experience building and managing customer relationships to seek out and identify new business opportunities

 

Desired Skills:   

  • Awareness of GIS Mapping software such as ArcGIS
  • Awareness of image exploitation tools such as ENVI, SOCET GXP, ERDAS and/or RemoteView
