Number of nodes in the layers for neural net classifier

Question:
How does ENVI determine the number of nodes in the hidden layer for neural net classification?

Answer:
The number of nodes on the hidden layers is equal to the number of bands. The first input layer also has number-of-bands nodes and the output layer has number-of-classes nodes.

Error with Neural Net Classifier:

Error : "Array dimensions must be greater than 0".

I get this error for a couple of different tools in ENVI. But in particular the NNC. I have a tiff image and an ROI from the image with 7 rectangles containing training pixels. I don't know if I am running the tool correctly.

Where can I get more information from ? The help archive doesn't list this error.

Regards.

Jeremy.
