Perhaps the easiest way to find a tool is to type its name (or just part of its name) into the Search box at the top of the new Toolbox. For example, if you wish to apply a maximum likelihood classification to a multispectral image that you have opened in ENVI 5, you can do so by typing "maximum" in the search box, then double clicking on the only entry that is listed in the Toolbox. This will bring up the various dialogs that you are used to seeing in previous version fo ENVI when starting the maximum likelihood classifier from the classic ENVI interface. Or, you can skip typing anything into the search box, and instead click the plus sign next to Classification in the Toolbox. You will see several classifications options listed. Click the plus sign next to Supervised Classification. You will see several supervised classification algorithms listed, including Maximum Likelihood Classification. Double click on that entry, to start the usual maximum likelihood classification process that you are used to. Please login or register to post comments.
