Does ENVI LiDAR Use Multithreading During Processing?

Question:

Does ENVI LiDAR have multithreading capabilities?  A customer is building a system on which to use ENVI LiDAR and he’d like to know whether to invest in RAM or multiple cores.

Answer:

Yes, it does use multithreading while processing. In the current version more cores would yield better performance than more memory, but you do need to allow around 0.5 Gb per core.
