ENVI Crop Science 1.0 Release Notes

You must have ENVI 5.4 or any of its service packs installed and licensed on your system before installing ENVI Crop Science. 

ENVI Crop Science is supported on the following platforms:

Platform Hardware Operating System Supported Versions
Windows Intel/AMD 64-bit Windows 7 SP1, 8, 10
Macintosh Intel 64-bit OS X 10.10, 10.11
Linux Intel/AMD 64-bit Linux Kernel 2.6.32, glibc 2.12

ENVI Crop Science consists of the following tools, located in the Crop Science folder in the ENVI Toolbox:

  • Calculate Crop Metrics
  • Calculate Crop Metrics with Spectral Index
  • Crop Count
  • Crops to Shapefile
  • Enhance Crops
  • Hotspot Analysis
  • Spectral Hotspot Analysis

Refer to the ENVI Crop Science Help for instructions on using the tools and API. Access the help as follows:

  • Windows: Go to the Start menu and select All Programs > ENVI 5.4 > Help > ENVI Crop Science 1.0 Help.
  • Linux: Enter envicropsciencehelp in the terminal window.
  • Macintosh: Double-click the ENVICropScience10Help Applescript icon.
