ENVI Photogrammetry Module 5.5 Release Notes

The ENVI Photogrammetry Module consists of three tools:

  • Generate Point Clouds and DSM by Dense Image Matching: Located under the Terrain folder in the ENVI Toolbox. It is supported on Windows 64-bit platforms only.
  • RPC Orthorectification Using DSM from Dense Image Matching: Located under the Geometric Correction > Orthorectification folder in the ENVI Toolbox. It is supported on Windows 64-bit platforms only.
  • Rigorous Orthorectification: Located under the Geometric Correction > Orthorectification folder in the ENVI Toolbox, or through the Map menu in ENVI Classic. It is supported on Windows 64-bit platforms. You can also run it in 32-bit mode on a Windows 64-bit machine.

You must have ENVI 5.5 installed and licensed on your system before installing the ENVI Photogrammetry Module. Refer to the ENVI Help for instructions on using the above tools.

Updates in ENVI 5.5

A Search Window Size parameter was added to the RPC Orthorectification Using Reference Image and Generate GCPs from Reference Image tools. Increasing its value will reduce misalignment between the input raster and the reference raster.
