Error message: “The requested operation requires elevation”

Problem: The error message “The requested operation requires elevation” appears for some Windows 7 users when starting ExelisVIS products, especially after unzipping the software.

Solution: Usually it is enough to simply activate the “Run program as administrator” option for the program IDL84 and ENVI52 with the right mouse button. In certain cases it is necessary to deactivate user account control in Windows (System settings > User accounts > Settings > Change user account control).
