Statistics and null values 1705 2

I am using the MODIS NDVI productwhich has a data range of -2000 to 10000 with a null value of -3000. When I run statistics on the file, or a classified image based on it, I keep getting a minimum value of -3000, not the real data values. I have set the 'Data Value to Ignore' parameter in the header file to -3000.
Is there any way to exclude these values when calculating statistics The statistics are bad because it is creating mean values that are too low.

how to display wavenumber & wavelength in Z-profile window in ENVI 1821 0

Hi,
I would like to display both wavenumber and wavelength on the X axis
(top and bottom) of the Z-profile window in ENVI. I can import one of
them say, 'wavenumber' for the bottom part but would like to know the
additional changes needed for the ENVI header file to import the
wavelength to be displayed on the top part of the axis. Y axis can be
imported easily.
ENVI header reads like this:

hi to all,
I am applying some mathemaical expression on a spectral library with the help of band math. when I open the spectral library it shows a single band , but it has 242 bands. now my expression in band math wants to select two bands as input variable. Is someone tell me how could this be possible.....................

Some of the ASTER data can be delivered in 11 bit format.
When ENVI imports this kind of data, it is written to a 16bit image channel
Is it possible to specify 8bit as output band type

I have some hyperspectral images over a water body that are affected by sun glint.
Does anyone have any code or good ideas on how to remove or decrease the effect of the glint in my images.

I want to import a large amount of ENVI rasters to an Oracle database using ArcCatalog via a ArcSDE-server. I have downloaded the DLL (ENVI Reader for ArcGIS 1.1 (Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP)) and installed it. This made ArcCatalog recognize the .dat-file and I can import it to the database. The problem is that I can not build statistics on the dataset and if I try to preview the dataset it is all white. Something has gone wrong here and I don´t know what to do. When one computes statistics for Pricipal components Analysis, the matrix that appears for the eigen vectors has for column and row headings the name Band 1 band 2 etc up to the number of bands and components. We have a shape file with a large number of polygons, and we'd like to use this file to calculate statistics from images. The data are all georeferenced using the same projections etc. To do this, I have converted the .shp files into evf vectors, and these then into ROIs. However, while all the polygons are translated into different ROIs. However, the name of each ROI is the same (namely, the name of the .evf file), so when I calculate statistics, there is no way to know which polygon is wh...

I am mosaicking a georeference image and have it almost complete, but I would like to fill in the gaps between two of my images. I would prefer to use the cutline feathering option, however Im a bit frustrated by the procedure. I know I need to use a polyline annotation to define the area I want to 'cut out' but how do I figure out the where that area is exactly in my image. The tutorials are not helping me either, so any advice from someone with experience would be a lifesaver! ...

I imported a Geotiff DEM(SRTM) into ENVI and as there were some bad cells(values of 32567) I used the `Replace bad value` routine and I would now like to export the DEM from ENVI. It seems that the options are limited. What software will read an ENVI modified DEM file
I tried to import the file into GlobalMapper as it does appear to accept ENVI DEM files but the software did not accept the modified DEM. It did originally accept the raw DEM geotiff with the bad values.
