Just wondering if when ENVI 3.6 service pack 1 opens a AST05 or AST07 file is the georeferenced. If not is there a quick and easy way to use the georeferencing information that is imported during this method to georeference these files in ENVI.

Is there a way to load polynomial warp coefficients (kx,ky)into ENVI when registering images ENVI allows a user to save out the polynomial coefficients via a text file, but, does not have the ability to load in the coefficients. In this instance, loading GCPs and developing the coefficients in ENVI is not an option.

Georeferenced Mosaicking in 3.6 failing 2963 0

If I perform a georeferenced mosaic of integer data in ENVI 3.6 I get strange results. Some values are arbitrarily shifted by 10's of thousands. Some are wrapped and shifted in position. Georeferenced mosaicking of the exact same data in 3.5 works perfectly. Pixel based mosaicking of the same data in 3.6 does work. Anybody experiencing similar results

Hello,
Does anyone have an IDL program which will take a classified high spatial resolution image and aggregate it into a lower spatial resolution multi-band fraction image Essentially, I want the output image to have n bands (n being the number of classes in the high-res image) and the pixel values are the percent cover.

Hi,
I'd really like to use the AVHRR calibration function on NOAA 10 and 11 data. However, the function only gives a choice of NOAA 12,14,15 or 16. Is there an expanded version of this function anywhere, or any other possible approach I'm using ENVI 3.5 & IDL.

Hello! I have an Aster geotif and I have no problems opening it up in ArcMap. The problem I have is that the geotif is too large. I'd rather have a smaller image so things will load faster in ArcMap. Does anyone know how to crop a geotif how do I prevent losing the georeferenced data from the geotif when I crop it

I was hoping someone might know, using an IDL and/or ENVI function, how do I write data to a specific LINE of a BIP or BIL file Its easy to read it (envi_get_slice), but not easy to write that slice (how come no 'envi_write_slice'). The brute force is to load the entire image into memory, assign that specific line the new values, and then rewrite the entire image back to disk. This is EXTREMELY slow. Even using ENVI's spectral tiling routines (which at least minimize the memory ...

I have a Landsat-tm5 calibrated to reflectance. The Z-Profile of any pixel in the image has as x-axis the integer number of TM-bands (e.g 1 to 7), while the x-axes of the incorporated spectral libraries to ENVI are in Wavelength (from 0.49 to 2.43 I think) when resampled (with the corresponding tool) to TM5 data. Exporting Aster geotif image to ArcMap 3026 2

Good morning all,
When I export an Aster scene as a Geotif, and import it into ArcMap, the image is flipped. Features that were formerly in the northeast are now in the southwest etc. Coordinate info is WGS84, SUTM55.
The same Geotif file is correctly displayed in applications such as ER Viewer and MapInfo; Geotif's from other sources display correctly in ArcMap, so I suspect that there is something in the way Envi creates a Geotif that is causing the problem in ArcMap. It may be that the p...

A simple issue where I see no solution with the runtime version of ENVI. What do you think
(A) In ENVI RT 3.5sp1, if I try to use 'Menu/Spectral/Spectral resampling' for data which wavelength is in nm (example: 400 nm to 2500 nm) and try to use ENVI's 'Pre-defined filter function', it will not work (error message
telling me all bands are out of range) because ENVI is waiting for wavelenght data between 0.4 and 2.5 instead of between 400 nm and 2500 nm.
There is no way to specify the unit ...

I am a new user of ENVI. I am now trying to create temperature maps from the thermal band of Landsat TM. But I don't know which tool I can use in ENVI. Besides, because Landsat 7 has both low gain and high gain in the 6th band, which one should be used for calculating those parameters
