GTOPO30 2091 1
Started by Deleted User
Could someone let me know how to import GTOPO30 dem data. I did it a year or so ago but now the technique has been forgotten. I suspect there is an offset that is required but I just cannot seem to get things lined up.
I know this should be simple but I am having a mental block.
Thanks

Output image to either TIFF or JPG 2274 1

Hello,
I am trying to export my image into either a TIFF or JPG format. I used envi_output_to_external_format and was able to generate a TIFF file, but I can't read this file in XV! Does anyone know why this is
Also there doesn't seem to be a function in envi to export to a jpg. Why is that! You are able to do it through the gui! Anyways, I am trying to use the IDL function WRITE_JPG, however it requires a 2 dimensional image array. Does anyone know how to obtain this image array fr...

ROI format? 1981 0
Started by Deleted User
I was wondering if there is documentation for the format of ENVI ROI files
any place We are developing some open source code in C that, among other
things, we'd like to be able to create ROIs to be used in ENVI (rather than
making them within ENVI/IDL). Thoughts

exporting lat/lons from a georeferenced image 1873 1
Started by Deleted User
I need to export not only the height values from a DEM file but also the latitudes and longitudes. I can easily do this for the height values, simply exporting the file as ASCII. I have yet to find a way to export the latitudes and longitudes as separte arrays. That is - I need a latitude for each pixel and a longitued for each pixel. A 3 dimensional array would work fine but I'd be happy with 3 ASCII files with the same number of rows and colums as the original DEM file. We are looking int...

Editing Classess 2048 0

Good Day. I just want to post a question regarding editing classess after performing Supervised of Unsupervised Classification. Of course you won't get a perfect result out of all the process you will apply. So if a patch of a particular class gets in the wrong place, how would you change it to its correct clas The edit tools for the classification dialogue does have a manual way of deleting or joining a specific portion of a class however its kind of hard to use and inaccurate. There's also th...

ASTER kinetic temperature 2077 0
Started by Deleted User
Hi everyone,
I'm Ashish. I have ASTER kinetic temperature data of my study area. I'm able to load up the 'kinetic temperature' data set in ENVI. What I eventually would like to do is export this data into a GIS interface and do further analysis.
I'm not sure on how to get the temperature data at each pixel in the image Is this possible in ENVI If so, further will the the user get a tabular output of the temperature values for each pixel.
My final aim is to correlate the temperature of...

Unsupervised classification. 2057 0
Started by Deleted User
I would like to ask about the percent of change parameter of the unsupervised class function of envi. It's just that I can't monitor how much percentage the processing has reached. All I see is the progress of the iterations that are being done. Well, i guess im very impatient. ERmapper, on the other hand, you can see the progress status, it has its own dialogue window, so you can see if it is reaching the desired percentage unchanged (its percentage change in envi). Could somebody enlighten me...

Band math issue 2058 1
Started by Deleted User
I have a technical query to do with the band math function. Essentially I have three images, each comprising 4 bands. I would like to overlay these to make one image, with the pixel selection being based on the minimum value in one band. I have been scratching my head but am not sure how to go about this!
Thanks, Jon Cox
