Importing data from MATLAB to ENVI 2268 1

Hello all!
I have data in Matlab - hyperspectral imagery that I need to get back to ENVI for viewing. How can I accomplish that
Originally I exported the hyperspectral image in TIFF format onto MATLAB. After running a couple of algorithms there, I want to get back the data to ENVI so that I can view the changes and differences. The images cannot be viewed in MATLAB. Is there anyway to do this

Saving training samples - Feature Extraction-Example Based 1336 1

Hi, I am running Feature Extraction-Example Based. I wish to classify 6 classes. I first segmented the image, then collected training samples. After collecting samples for the first class, I was able to save the samples. However, when I add another class to collect samples, the Save option is greyed out. It does not allow me to save anymore. I want to save the samples of all 6 classes in one shapefile so that I can edit them if needed. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you very much.

Exporting High Resolution Images for Printing 1684 2

Hello,
I'm working with some hyperspectral imagery in ENVI 4.8 and I need to save high resolution (300 ppi) copies of some of my images to use for publications. I'd like to be able to save the image as a TIFF or postscript file so that I can open it in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator for arranging it in a figure. However, the Save Image As... function produces very low resolution images; 64 ppi is the best I've been able to achieve. Is there a way to export images from ENVI 4.8 (or 4.4) in higher...

Thermal Atmospheric correction - TIMS radiance tool 3120 1

In the section on thermal atmospheric correction it refers to the TIMS radiance tool to convert the data to radiance. Does this have another name because I can not find it in the toolbox or has the tool be renamed. Thanks for your help.

Hello!I am trying to perform FLAASH on Geotiff Hyperion Data. I would like to know the steps to be followed.
So far, I have done : Input the .tiff files onto ENVI.
Also, 1) I read that VNIR and SWIR bands need to be divided by 40 and 80 respectively. Is this value correct
2) Can Radiometric Calibration be done directly
Is this is step order:1) Input -> calibration by dividing VNIR and SWIR by 40/80 -> Radiometric Calibration -> FLAASH; or

I'm new to ENVI so start at the beginning please. I have purchased a 1B data set which I downloaded as a .tar dataset (ASTL1B_0102010044381501290001.tar) when I uncompressed the dataset using winzip I have a series of files. None of these are *.HDF files so how do I load them into ENVI please

trying to conduct classifikation with Neural Net i had this error message:
"envi_neural_net_doit: An error has occured during processing

I'm a new user of ENVI 4.8
I can't understand how to perform a reclass in a raster ..
I'd like to make a boolean mask from my raster (8 bit integer) and I need to change te DN value:
old DN value - > new DN value
0 -> 0
1 -> 0
2 -> 1
3 -> 0
4 -> 1
5 -> 0
and so on..

I would like to practice the tutorial available in the ENVI Tutorials. But in my case the pdf files (which are in left side under ENVI Tutorial) are downloadable but the datasets which are in the upper right corner are inactive. I have logged in to Exelis but not able to download.
Please kindly recommend me how to download the dataset from this site.

ENVI's flat-field correction applies the equation: sample/white reference (where sample = pixel spectrum). But I want to use the equation &91sample-dark&93/&91white-dark&93. I have heard about using band math to accomplish this, but I am not sure how to go about it with the images I have.

ENVI 5.2 won&39;t launch in Yosemite 1293 1

ENVI 5.2 is not launching once mac upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.1 OS. IDL works fine. X11 launches when you click to launch ENVI, but ENVI itself does not. No error message either.
Have reloaded ENVI/IDL and rebooted the mac. Makes no difference.
Anyone else seeing this If so, any fix out there
BTW....did load java 6 so IDL works. X11 (XQuartz is at current 2.7.7 version as well)

Band Math - Round up cell values 1432 2

Hello,
Is there an operator/function in band math that will allow me to round up to a particular decimal place
The file in question is a Rapideye ToA reflectance image. I'd ideally like to get it to 3 decimal places so eventually I could multiply the image by 1000 (to save disc space).
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I am running ENVI through parallels on my mac. Previously on Bootcamp, I had no issues. When I open the ROI tool, and place the cursor across the imagery area, the cursor goes missing. The cursor works fine in the other areas of the program such as the menu, etc. And when the ROI tool is not open, the cursor works across the entire screen. Any ideas

Hi all,
I am going to make an IDL script that automates some tasks in ENVI. One thing that could make my life easier is to see what calculations or functions ENVI is using behind the scenes as I perform operations with Filter Co-Occurence measures. Any tips on this curiosity or task in general would be greatly appreciated.
If this helps, I am doing this under Linux and am starting from the command line. I soon will be using OS X.

Hi,
I have problem in displaying results in ENVI. I think this is related to "envi_default_stretch_create". As output i have a matrix of image size. In the matrix values are stored according to the loop size. Suppose the loop is for 1 to 10 then maximum value in loop in 10 and according to condition there are two or only one pixel of value 10. So when i load the band , i am unable to see it. But if i save this file and load it into matlab then there is one pixel with value 10. I trie...

I bought a 32-bit ENVI 5.1 for windows. But I read that 32 bit ones will give advantages in handling data in 64-bit PCs. I have two PCs..one 32 bit...one 64 bit...both Windows OS. How can I install 32 bit ENVI in my 64-bit machine I tried this actually...an error message tells that it needs a 64-bit installer What is this 64-bit installer... How can I do this Thanks.

hello!
in hyperspectral image i Create ROIs from Band Thresholds (choosing a band of0.854) but when i tried to see the statistics of the roi that created there isan error message:
"Array dimensions must be greater than 0". So as i cannot do anything elsewith that ROI
Secondly, how can i shee a false color image in envi 5.2 because through data manager creating multiple files is not supported.
