Hi!
Could anyone please tell me how to remove cast and cloud shadows from a LANDSAT scene if there is not some other image available of that one region!
I am doing a classification and the shadows interfere strongly with my water-class...

I need to mimic ENVI's resize_doit function in IDL only, since I only have access to IDL on the machine I need to do batch processing on. I tried looking at the code, but I'm new to IDL, and had trouble looking for the exact code that did the resizing. Is there any way to do this

I am working with MODIS Aqua Level 3 BIN data. I want to perform the analysis in ENVI. I know ENVI has EPOC plugin tool that supports MODIS Level 1, 2, 3 (SMI) data products. Is there anyway to analyze the MODIS Aqua level-3 (BIN) data in ENVI Please help me to solve this issue.

Recently, I have WorldView 2 images, but i don't know how convert DN to TOA reflectances, someone, have any idea. Pre-processing ENVI convert relative radiance (DN) to absolute radiance, but i'm not making any progress with this.

i will be analysing hyperion image, after doing atmospheric correction ie.FLASSH, i want to do linear spectral unmixing , in these selecting endmembers from the spectral library and spectral data from lab spectra, giving input to the linear spectral unmixing not showing good results for abundance mapping of minerals. Hello!
I am processing Hyperion data using FLAASH and as I know FLAASH generate reflectance in integers to save memory, but to get absolute reflectance i.e. 0-1, should I divide the integer value by 10000 If I devide by 10000, I get reflectance more than 1. Is this because of snowcover image of mountain region
Now I want to ask is this topographic correction is not possible with FLAASH
Secondly should I apply topograpic correction after FLAASH or before FLAASH

Hi All,
I have two MODIS NDVI images. One from 2001 and one from 2006. I would like to calculate change detection metrics on the images using Univariate Image Differencing ((double(b1)-double(b2))/(double(b1)double(b2)). Before I can run the band math equation I want to match the histogram of the 2006 image to the 2001 image.
I have matched the histograms using "Enhance -> Histogram Matching" but how do I now save the histogram matched image
Is this an IDL task or ...

I tried to display Grid Lines (Overlay -> Grid Lines) in ENVI 4.6.1 (Linux RedHat 32bits).
Once the procedure is loaded I got this message error (in a pop-up window):
An error was caught in the main display event handler.
Error: Variable is undefined: B_XTICKV.
I tried several times, I got the same at each try.
what-s going wrong with my data

I am learning how to realize Spectral Unmixing. The imapge I am using is ETM. I want to get the soil reflectance after unmixing the mixture pixel. After Spectral Unmixing, I got the result image of soil and vegetation abundance. I want to know how I can get the soil reflectance of the specific pixel according to the soil and vegetation abundance of this pixel. The sum of abundance of soil and vegetation in a pixel is not equal to 1 when in the condition of Constraint or not.

Does ENVI software capable to do geometric correction of Airborne Hyperspectra data As you know, airborne are unstable (pitch,yaw,roll effect) during image acquisition which effect the orientation of acquired data and need geometric correction before further processing.
