2 Replies and 1558 Views result is rounded, but why?  1558  2 Started by  Deleted User hi all, i am a newbie in using idl and face a problem. it is a quite simple question and i hope anybody of you can help me. when i do a simple calculation like: m=float(8054/7). i got the result 1150.00, but the correct results is 1150.57. what is the reason for this and how can i manage this. thanks in advance, christine

1 Replies and 1480 Views Programmatically rotate iSurface from command line  1480  1 Started by  Deleted User Could someone tell me how to programmatically rotate an iSurface graph from the command line I was hoping to have a simple ax, ay, or az keyword like surface does to set the angle of rotation, but from what I've seen iSurface doesn't have anything similar. I started reading in the Help on "iTool Programming->Controlling iTools from the Command line" but I can't seem to find the right property or identifier I would need to modify. This seems like it should be simple... Michael

I need to run in batch mode in a web application, i.e. the Apache server needs to run idlde -batch . The batch commands generated by my script work fine from an administrator terminal window. However, when I run it through Apache, IDL starts up but then hangs. I'm guessing it has something to do with access rights to the .idl directory, which probably Apache isn't able to create.
