How to compute for variance, covariance, and means of ROIS 2358 1

Hello, Im a newbie here.
I havent figured out how I may compute for the means and variances of my ROIs. Is it in the compute stats I would also like to derive the covariances of my ROIs.

Combining MODIS bands 1, 2 (250m) and 3,4,5,6,7 (500m) 2171 1

Hi guys,
Has anybody successfully combined these MODIS spectral bands into the same 250m pixel resolution using ENVI I tried processing MOD09 products using Tools-resize (to 250m pixel res); Map-convert projection and layer stacking but the end result only showed an outline of the land area which I find odd as the reprojected and resampled bands were consistent.&160;
I tried using the MODIS conversion and Toolkit but I kept running into memory allocation problems.
Any suggestions Thanks......

I have been trying to use the ppi tool on a coastal&160;image which has the water masked out. I continually get an output which highlights&160;all the&160;masked pixels (which have a&160;value of zero)&160;as spectrally pure when&160;I thought it would ignore&160;these pixels altogether. Someone told me to try and mask out all the NaN values but when I run that&160; it masks out&160;the entire&160;image as opposed to just the blacked out areas. Does anyone know how to get the ppi tool ...

Hi:
I am currently working with MODIS 4 KM Level 3&160;images of K490. The product is in HDF format and I can open it in ENVI 4.4. The values are for global data so I make a subset using the Regions of Interest. The problem is that I cannot&160; export the data in a format that is viewable in ArcView 9.3. I have tried th arcview raster format, ESRI grid format.
In the ArcView raster format the extension is .bil, but the exported file does not contain the Map Information from ENVI, so I can p...

I'm very new in using ENVI and i need some help :) The thing is i've downloaded the "moffett field" data from the AVIRIS's website. The package has some data files like:

Hi,
I need to reclassify image, so I downloaded reclass.pro and saved it in proper directory but I can't use it. I wrote the function in band math but it said-&160;&160;'You have entered an invalid expression. Check for syntax errors or undefined procedures and functions and try again.'

Dear Sir,
I am currently doing some image processing in ENVI. I was wondering if&160;there is some way to change the default color look up table for grayscale image Coz I prefer to work with BLUE/GREEN/RED/YELLOW which is able to show more contrast.
And by the way, is there a way to call up the interactive stretching window automatically through programming or something
Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

radiance & brightness temp. from ASTER L1A 1899 3

I've purchased ASTER L1A image and now I'm stuck how to calculate radiance and brightness temp from it. I have ENVI, ERDAS 9.1 and ArcGIS 9.2. If anyone knows how to calculate these then please help me, I've tried many formulas but none of them give the desired results. the temperature needs to be calculated from TIR bands only.
Basic process is the convertion from L1A --> L1B, which i dont know :(

I am trying to run an aircraft hyperspectral dataset through FLAASH. I set the file type to unknown-hsi, then select the input radiance file, and also provide the ASCII center wavelength and fwhm file, defining the columns with the dialog. By making a co-register on a basic image , i'll obtain many mistakes about very high RMS and given that the major mistakes are in the CGP located in the sea. I'd like to make a Sea Mask to be superimposed on every image whitch has been noticedat different moments to solve this problem. Then i'll co-register them.

Hi All,
I downloaded and installed ENVI 4.5 - Linux Intel x86, 32 & 64-bit (glibc ver 2.5, gtk2 ver 2.10, kernel ver 2.6' from ITT download website. I followed the instructions to install and finished the installation. I work in a university and I had to direct the license to point to a license server.
It gives a error called Floating point exception. I even tried running it as 'ide -32' or 'envi -32'. It is not working. Can anybody suggest a solution
