Opening MODIS files 2331 2

I have problem in opening MOD11A1, land surface temperature, by ENVI 4.2
When I opened files of MOD11A1 by using 'file ->open image file',
only Emis 31, Emis 32 were opened.
MOD11A1 have 12 subitems which can open by using ' file -> open external files ->hdf '.
But when I do so, there are no map infomations.
What should I do

DEM Extraction using wizard 2023 1

I was trying to creat DEM using ASTER L1A stero data i.e 3B and 3N. I was using DEM wizard in 4.2 which has 9 steps. I was creating absolute DEM using auto SCP. In the final dem output i am getting negative values like -78, -100 whereas study area having average elevation of 10m. Can anybody pointout where i am doing misttake. Thanks in advance.

Map Conversion: from sinusoidal to geographic coordinate system NAD83 2160 0

I tried to covert a sinusoidal MODIS data into GCS NAD83 coordinate system. But the conversion does not work correctly. The features are off its locations many pixels. The funny thing is that the same procedure worked fine two months ago.
I am using ENVI 4.2.

I have do atmospheric correction of modis L1b with flaash in the envi, but the reflectance value is mimus.

the flaash users' guid said that' navigate to the envidata\flaash\multispectral\input_files directory, select the jasperridgetm_template.txt file, and click 'open' '. but I did not found the enivdata directory in my envi4.2. does anyone have the 'envidata' file, can you help me and give me the directory my email is zerozerozero123163.com

i do not see a keyword in the documentation for setting this parameter when making a call to texture_cooc_doit.
how can is control this parameter

I am trying to use the occurence and coocurrence statistics calculated by envi (texture filters).
As far as I can tell, these methods use the nodata value as if it were simply a valid value. This seems wrong to me. (For example, any window with just one pixel of nodata value=-32767 will have its mean and all other statistics heavily influenced by such a value.)
Can anyone verify this I'd love any references to why this is the correct thing to do, or alternate strategies for calculating th...

I am trying to 'Edit Grid Characteristics' on a grid that I have overlayed on top of my image. I am supposed to be able to 'control the distance of the labels from the edge of the image for each grid type, using the Dist parameter. Larger numbers are farther from the edge.'. But I can't find a Dist parameter under 'Edit Grid Characteristics'.

Error message when save images as big tiff files 2404 1

Hi,
When I try to save an ENVI image as tiff (geotiff) file and the image is bigger (say 500 mb) the software shows an error message. It is something like '....can't allocate memory for the array, result may be invalid....'. Whay is that and is there a way to fix it. Images around 150 mb are save ok.
I use ENVI 4.2

Objective: Mosaick several DEMs, all same size and format (60x60km, DEM/tif), into ENVI with transparent background (set to 0)
Problem: DEM background recurs as opaque (black)
Strategies: Attempted opening DEMs as HDF, not a valid HDF file, therefore, ENVI does not recognize them, unable to manipulate data contained in the header file...

Hi
I'm trying to learn how to use ENVI in batch mode because I've got hundreds of MODIS MOD04 and MOD06 (aerosol and cloud product) files that need to be analyzed.
I've been going thru the examples in RSI's Envi Programming training manual, specifically those in chapter 2 regarding ROI's (Regions of Interest) and the examples in chapter 3, the ones related to automated batch processing.
I've encounterd 2 problems with regards to using HDF files:

This is an issue with the forums, not ENVI directly -- when I receive an email notifying me of changes there isn't a space between the link to follow and 'Thank you...' so my email program (outlook) thinks the 'Thank' is part of the URL:

Quick question: is Delauney triangulation the most appropriate registration technique, since its the only which uses local (as opposed to global) warping, which can account (somewhat) for pitch/yaw/roll issues which cannot be predicted globally Are there other warping techniques available that can do a better job
