Importing Radar 1841 1

I am trying to import a RADARSAT file, georeference it and convert it to Beta Nought. Once you do one of these procedures however, it outputs the result as an ENVI file. However, seeing as both of these functions requires a RADARSAT file I can only do one or the other it seems, not georeference and then continue with the georeferenced output to convert to beta nought.
Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong!

I have some SPOT-vegetation NDVI files, which format is *.hdf. ENVI 4.2 can read them easily. But these file have not projection. They have the same README files as following:

I have a TRMM HDF data. Some details of the data is as follows:
LongName: TRMM 3-Hour 0.25 TRMM and Other-GPI Calibration Rainfall Data
Short Name : TRMM_3B42
Version Id : 6
BoundingRectangle:
WestBoundingCoordinate: -180.0
NorthBoundingCoordinate : 50.0
EastBoundingCoordinate : 180.0
SouthBoundingCoordinate : -50.0
How can I transform this data into WGS1984 Lat Long I'm really new to ENVI. Really help somebody could help.

i have a sinusoidal world map projection which i am trying to convert to lambert conformal conic projection (showing china) using convert map projection, each time it would give a a part of south america instead of the whole map. i am preety new at this

I had a bit of an issue with a radar project I was undertaking:
The radar data was brought into ENVI as unsigned integer data, which was fine for doing everything except filtering - when I filter data it turns it into integer data, and then doesn't display properly. If I edit the header data type back to unsigned integer it still won't work.
How can I get round this problem I haven't realy used IDL before so any programming may have to be explained step by step!

Hi ,
I am using ENVI3.5, when i export the img file to other format (say arcview bil, erdas lan), there is a shift in the coordinates.
This error was identified, when I overlayed a vector layer (generated from exported format) on the original img file. The vector is overlayed somewhere. So i am struggling to export to other gis softwares.
If any have encountered this problem, kindly share your thoughts.

I have a SAM Rule hyperspectral classification for an endmember. I've used the histogram to accurately dilineate the target endmember. I've applied a color table, so that there is a color gradient for the target. I'd now like to be able to take the target classification (without losing the color table gradient applied) and then layer them on top of a one band image. How would I do this in envi

I am geometrically correcting AISA hyperspectral data. I would love the use the GPS/INS data acquired during the flight, but the system is not operating correctly (something about the cmigits interface). Anyway, has anyone had any success with autoregistration If so, how do I implement it Are there any other methods for roll correction in ENVI I know that PCI has a rollcorr module that helps to correct for roll. Does ENVI have anything similar

For the purpose of target detection, I carried out PCA transformation of a HYDICE 210 band image. Now to do thresholding analysis, I want to take it to MATLAB. I saved it in GeoTIFF format. But it doesnt open there and gives a error that its 32 bit and needs to be 16 bit image. How to solve the problem. Without PCA, I am able to save the image as GeoTIFF and transport it into MATLAB and open the image.
Secondly, I am not open all the image together, 210 bands. I open it one by one. Any one ...

Hi i am relatively new to ENVI, and am trying to a convert a sinusoidal world map projection into lambert conformal conic projection, i created the following Lambert customised map using 0E, 0N, central meridian 110E, two parallels 25N and 45N. (want to show china region upfront) but when i use the convert map proj. tool it always gives me error 'array dimension must exceed 0' ,

Hi,
I want to classify an 8 band image using the maximum likelihood
classifier in ENVI 4.0. I want to use a script to automate this
process, as I want to do it over a large range of different images and
settings.
However, if I classify all eight bands using the ENVI GUI I get a
completely different classification image then I do when I do it in
code. If I only use four or less of the bands, then the results are

I have created an image from mulitple ASD point spectra (one pixel per field sample) and am looking into running the mixed tuned match filtering (MTMF) algorithim to identify certain pixels of specific species type. This algorithms requires that data be in MNF space but when trying to transform these data, the output is blank (NaN's).
In talking with other professionals, it was suggested that MNF would not work on these data due to the excellent signal-to-noise ratio in the ASD instrument....
