Glint in WoldView 2 Image 1365 3

Hello all, I got my hands recently on a WorldView 2 Image, sadly since I'm interested in marine applications (Coral reef/sea grass mapping) the entire image got a sun glint problem...
So my qusetion is, is there a way to remove the glint and make the image easier to analysis and classify
BTW, Im using Envi 4.7

Hello
I am trying to build RPCs in ENVI 4.7, but I keep getting the following error message before the application crashes:
"The following error was encountered: Out of range subscript encountered: XYZ. Please consult the supplier of the application".
This happens whenever I try to "Export GCPs to build RCPs widgets" in the "exterior orientation GCPs" window
Could anybody tell me what I am doing wrong I am a complete beginner in ENVI, so please accept m...

Hi folks:
I've seen in the help files for ENVI (I have vers. 4.5) reference to an 'ENVI User's Guide, but I don't find that in my installed documentation anywhere. Is there somewhere on the Exelis site where I can find this for download It would greatly help with some details in order to script with ENVI routines. Thanks much in advance.

hi,every one , I recently need to process lots of landsat TM and MSS data, firstly I want the batch calibrate these files. I try to write this pro file expected to finish the job ,but failed, it shows 'FID is always =-1' .so ,I try to used"envi_open_file" or "envi_open_data_file", both donot work.the pro is gived below, I really hope anyone give any suggestion. thanks many.

I need come clarification regarding the Local Spatial Statistics tools(Getis-Ord G, Gearys C and Moran's I)
From the literature ENVI cited(And from other sources) I found that
"Moran’s I varies from -1 (negative autocorrelation) to 1 (positive autocorrelation).
Geary’s c ranges from 0 (Positive Autpcorrelation) 1 (no auto correlation) and 2 (negative spatial autocorrelation)."
However ENVI 4.5 is not obeying this rule, when I ran these methods on a raster file ...

I'm using QuickBird images in Antarctica to extract surface reflectance values. I'm running the images through FLAASH to obtain the surface reflectance values. I'm getting values that are off by a order of magnitude ( DN value -.022 to .159 in the pan band). In order to obtain these values I have to divide the image by 10'000 in band math. I believe that all my steps are correct when setting up the image in FLAASH: QuickBird Preprocessing to radiance, output image to floating points, etc.

Hi,everyone,When I use ENVI4.8 to open a tif file,but the programme shows an error dialogue that says :keyword invisible not allowed in call to :envi_read_tiff.As a matter of fact,this file can be opened by windows itself or ERDAS or PHOTOSHOP,etc
,I donnot know how to deal with it .Is there anyone would like to test it because I failed in uploading the sample data ,just leave the email so that I can send the sample data to you .Any help will be appreciated

I am mosaiking an image from 4 different images.
the images are cartosat images. For mosaiking i have to register one image to other. this is very tedious. When i double click a pixel on a cartosat image, it shows the row/col number as welll as lat/long of the pixel.
Cant i directly use the lat/long to combine images without going thru the process of selecting GCP's , registering one image to other and then mosaiking them

Hi,
this is just a short question but which is bothering me for a while.
I have several landsat 7 etm files, and trying to remove/mask the clouds. So what i know is, that i can highlight them using "Density Slice" command and register all the high value pixels. Ok, so my simple question is,
are clouds only at the range of 250 - 255 My problem is, that i have an image, where just by looking i can tell there are more clouds than the ones masked with the value of 250. How do i k...

I'm getting a strange error in my IDL/ENVI code that I don't understand. In the middle of a tiling procedure, I get this error:
"Attempt to call undefined function/procedure, "math_doit_record" The result may be invalid".
But I, for one, have not called any such procedure or function - not that I know of Can anyone help

DEM extraction license doesn't work 950 1

Hi all,
I reinstalled envi4.8_64bit due to some problems I was having. But now it doesn't accept my license file.
I had a license file without the DEM extraction module then I requested DEM extraction license and they sent me a separate dat file and I believe this is a server license. I am installing that new license the same way I did with the old one. At the end its opening up LMtools for me to configure server, I guess. At this point I don't know what to do.

I am using ENVI to extract DEM from stereo ASTER images. In the process of creating tie points for 3N and 3B scenes I get the following error and the program terminates: "Keyword DIMENSION not allowed in call to: MOMENT Please consult the supplier of the application". I am trying to create TIE POINTS interactively. As soon as I add the 5TH tie point I get the above error and program terminates.
How can I overcome this error
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am trying to compute ROI separability and sometimes I got an error message:
"Singular value encountered in calculation for ROI: 060331_686E_E &91Blue&93 15 points"
I am comparing 3 ROIs at a time and 060331_686E_E is one of the ROIs I am using.
The results is a 0.00000 value for those cases where 060331_686E_E is involved. It looks like it is not a valid result, but a problem in calculation.
Does anybody knows what the message means and what shall I do ...

ENVI_OPEN_DATA_FILE allows a programmer to open a HDF dataset by specifying the HDF dataset index with the HDFSD_DATASET parameter. But this assumes the programmer knows the index of the HDF DATASET desired. I don't know the index of the dataset in the HDF file until the user specifies the dataset name that is desired.
I need to query the HDF file to get the list of dataset names and associated index values and then search the list to see if it matches with the dataset name provided by ...

I need to process a large series of images with a large number of either ROI's or EVF's; where they are all always rectangular. I need to automate a series of processes using either in a script, so, I need to keep track of all of them in as straightforward and efficient a manner as possible. I'm not sure which I should use, though. Can anyone tell me some pros and cons of using either ROI's vs EVF's
