ENVI product HASP (dongle key) licensing is not supported on 64-bit Windows operating systems prior to ENVI 5.1

THIS INFORMATION ONLY PERTAINS TO SOFTWARE VERSIONS IDL 8.5, ENVI 5.3 AND PRIOR

ENVI product HASP device (dongle key) licensing is not supported on 64-bit Windows operating systems prior to ENVI 5.1. ENVI HASP device licensing will only work on 32-bit Windows systems for those versions.

Note that ENVI HASP licensing has been shown to work on 32-bit Windows systems installed on either 32-bit or 64-bit hardware. Only 32-bit ENVI may run on a 32-bit Windows system, even when installed on 64-bit hardware.

If you use an ENVI product HASP-style license and need to migrate the license to a 64-bit Windows system, you are encouraged to upgrade to ENVI 5.1 for this support.  For assistance with upgrading, please contact our technical support team.

If your license is not eligible for upgrade, please contact your account manager for assistance with bringing your license current.
