ERROR: ACTIVATION_ID_INVALID

This error can occur when activating a network license on a license server. It may look similar to the following:

------------------------------------------

Failed to activate ****-****-****-XXXX on server localhost
{
  "items" : [ {
    "category" : "PUBLIC",
    "code" : 1,
    "detail" : "****-****-****-XXXX",
    "status" : "ACTIVATION_ID_INVALID"
  } ]
}

------------------------------------------

CAUSE: This error can occur when attempting to activate a network  license due to a typo in the activation code.

SOLUTION: Verify the activation code entered is correct and does not contain any typos. The code must contain all 16 characters in groups of 4 digits, separated by hyphens (i.e. XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Be sure not to confuse any "zero" characters with the letter "O'. That actual character in the activation codes is always a "zero".
