This error can occur when activating a local  license. It may look similar to the following:

------------------------------------------

 Failed to activate ****-****-****-XXXX

2018-01-16 15:33:23

CLL Error
  Error Code: -1
Error Message: CLLFeatureCountsInUseGetUsedCounts: status - category: public, code: 14 (Activation ID copies exceeds available copies), details: ****-****-****-XXXX

------------------------------------------

CAUSE: This error can occur when attempting to activate a local (node-locked) license from a contract which does not have enough available seats to fulfill your activation request. In other words, there are not enough licenses currently available for your specified activation code.

SOLUTIONS:

  • Deactivate other computers using the specified activation code. If you are attempting to transfer your license to a new computer (also known as a license re-host), you must deactivate the license from the previous computer first. Please see this Help Article which explains the license re-host process.
  • Please contact your license administrator to resolve this issue. If you are the license administrator, you may need to contact Harris Geospatial Solutions Technical Support.
