Random Sampling of ROI's 1435 0

Hi,
Has anyone had used the random sampling tool much Once you have generated random samples from a single ROI is there a way to then separate those samples into 2 different ROI's that contain non-repeating pixels among the two I can generate two random samples from the same ROI, but some of the pixels overlap. I'm trying to save some time… hoping that I do not have to create the wheel (IDL code) on this one (lol)! If anyone has some suggestions or an old piece of code for this, I would...

hi
i have a problem with layer stacking , when i link 3 images
one - i make with idl, second - i make with envi GUI interface
third - the input .tif file and i verify cursor location value , data in
corresponding pixels are not the same !
it s mean
.tif -> layer stacking with idl all is ok
.tif -> layer stacking with envi GUI not ok
(0 to max 8 error )

How to fill gaps or Null value pixels using ENVI??? 1382 0

I have a DTM and a particular tile in the DTM has null value surrounding it's North East West and South boundaries. Is there a tool in ENVI where i can process the DTM and fill the voids by interpolation or something

How do you convert the perimeter of an image to 'no data' rather then '0'
Have tried applying a mast and changing 'mask value' to 'NaN' but the result is still '0'.

Dear anyone..I have a USGS SRTM DEM data and the corresponding satellite image. their data dimensions are slightly different..is thee any way to sort of drape or combine these two images so that I can get to display glacier from my image into the DEM

Je travaille avec envi 4.1 et je voudrais changer la couleur de l'arrière plan de l'image( par defaut le logiciel me donne la couleur noire).
Merci beaucoup de votre aide car cela me permettra d'avoir des cartes mieux élaborées.

Hello. This should be a simple question but I'm rather new to the ENVI interface. I have a mosaicked aerial photo in TIFF format that is not georeferenced. I do have the associated .TFW file and the UTM zone so it can be loaded into ENVI. I also have both an ASTER and a LandSat TM image of the same scene. There seems to be an offset of about 200m between the aerial photo and both satellite images. I would like to link them to help me develop my ROIs for a supervised classification. I trie...

I want to use envi to do the radiation calibration of ers2 sar data, to convert DN value into db. But i have no dem data and acturally in my case i need not consider the error caused by topography. I noticed that the unit of beta nought is db. what's the difference between sigma nought and beta nought If i have no dem data, can i use beta nought to replace sigma nought

How do I get to separate snow and cloud usng ENVI in CHris dataI tried the Snow index and did (b3-b18)/(b3b18)...but the result was not a binary one. Since this CHRIS data only has wavelenght range from 0.4 to 1.05 microns...it has been giving me a hassle. I wish i could do something with this data. anyone..please help me. Peg..

of data (EVI) from *.evf without using ROI for each poligon.
I want statistics of EVI for each poligon from *.evf file without generated ROI. Is possible to convert the *.evf file into ROI

is there a way to normalize my reflectance spectal profile from snow data..becasue the reflectance value it is showing is way above one(which is not possible). this is a moungtainous data set..and the spectral profile really looks discontinuous even though this is a CHRIS image. why is that ..please tell me the answer...i have got my professor to extend my deadline to two weeks. ....pleeasssseee....

My problem is I am supposed to classify an image of K2 glacier...it is CHRIS data/ However, my proff. expects me to get creative out of this boring snow data. So can anyone suggest me how i should start and what I can classify in this image..i have to submit a 'creative' output within 10 days to get a distinction..any form of suggestion is appreciated. seriously what can one classify in snow and i do not even know which tools of ENVI are useful for me.

I have a problem when opening an image landsat in format PIX. the projection of the image is UTM - WGS84 - Zona 18 the South.
When I open the image in ENVI my projection changes to UTM - WGS84 - Zona 18 North.
Somebody knows to that it must
Perhaps ENVI and PCI are not compatible
