Creating a new raster with ROI Tool 2642 7
Started by Deleted User
<p>I am using ENVI 5.3 in Windows 10. I need to create a new smaller raster image from an existing raster that is a tif file. I was under the impression I could do this by using the ROI Tool. I have tried this by creating an ROI from geometry, as instructed on this webpage http://www.exelisvis.com/docs/RegionOfInterestTool.htmlROIGeometry. I draw the rectangle over the raster and make its color solid, then rename it. I have tried saving it, and the only format available is xml. W...

What about the radiance gains and offset changes after Gap filling? 1588 4
Started by Deleted User
I have applied USGS Defined method for Gap filling for Landsat ETM data. After i have to apply T-cap... but when i check its spectral properties in ERDAS, it shows slight different values in Radiance Gain and Offset (a addition and subtraction of 0.4 from gain and offset for each of bands 1:, & 7)... My question is... should I use these new values or use the default values for T-cap generation What is the reason for the change in the values<br />

Invalid Object Reference 2700 1
Started by Deleted User
Hello,
I've run a couple of times the feature extraction module (example based) for a 3 Landsat 8 image mosaic and while running the classifications (SVN) I'm getting the same error: invalid object reference )>. I've seen that there are two more threats but related to ROI creation so not really sure what is happening. Not sure about the internal processing while running the algorithm but as it happens just after starting the process it might be also related. Guess that the first internal step is...

Only 1 band available for display in multiband .tif file 2485 1
Started by Deleted User
I have a stacked .tif file with 6 bands from Landsat 5. When I open the image in Envi 5.3 though and choose change RGB bands only the red icon is available and I cant set the green and the blue. Anyone know what might cause this In Envi classic all bands are able to be selected still.

Layer Stacking and NoData 1576 1
Started by Deleted User
Dear forum members
I have 18 single-band TIFF files covering approximately the same area and I want to layer stack them. Each file was set to have a data ignore value (0). But I noticed the command (layer stacking with the exclusive range option selected) is not using this value to produce a multi-band image only with valid data in the overlapping pixels. It is also including those pixels that have valid data in some TIFF files and in others.
Thanks
Joao

imagery 1619 1
Started by Deleted User
I've recently purchased a WorldView2 image that I know has been georeferenced and orthorectified, but I'm not sure whether the spectral numbers from the image are digital numbers, radiance, top of atm reflectance, or scaled surface reflectance. I don't see explanation of this in the imagery documentation. How can I find out

Prevent Layer Stacking from assigning NaN to 0&39;s 1617 2
Started by Deleted User
I have 80 landsat scenes that I have masked out clouds on for each individual band, and now I want to layer stack them and create some histograms. I realized though that when each individual band is stacked the no data pixels are being automatically assigned a value of 0. Is there a way to prevent this from happening since it messes up my histograms Possibly this can only be done in IDL

Radiometric calibration & water masking 1711 3
Started by Deleted User
I am trying to calibration a Landsat 8 scene to TOA reflectance but as the scene has water, I would like to mask the water before performing the calibration. I have built a ROI using the Threshold value but when I go to build the mask, the function can't see the ROI I created. Kindly explain what I need to do for the Build Mask function to see the water ROI.

Any advice n TCT in Confusion Matrix in ENVI 5.2 1332 4

Im working on ENVI 5.2, with Tasseled cap (TCT). The resulted output from this process is in ENVI Standard format, which shows error when used as an input in Confusion Matrix... For this i want its output in ENVI Classification format. I also tried this by using "Edit ENVI Header" tool... This requires Classes for classification... I dont know how to add/select classes from TCT image. Kindly Suggest...

Vegetation Indices 1971 5

Dear Exelis support,
I was trying to generate some VIs from surface reflectance Landsat 5 TM data and I find it odd that only the NDVI and SRI are available for this sensor. At least all five broadband greenness indices can be calculated with the spectral information available from the TM sensor.
Thanks

NDVI Usage in Confusion Matrix 1964 6

I am working on NDVI in ENVI... the output file is in Envi Standard format... I required it in Envi Classification format, which can be done through Envi Edit Header tool... Problems about reading MERIS data 1428 3
Started by Deleted User
Hi all,
I met with a problem when reading MEARIS data. When I tired to open MERIS file by using
envi_open_data_file, filename, /envisat, r_fid=fid, only some auxiliary information can be found. In fact, if opened from GUI of ENVI, some more information can be seen in the 'available band lists'. Does anyone know what the reason is I guess there are a few of parameters missing when I use 'envi_open_data_file, filename, /envisat, r_fid=fid'. Thanks so much for your help!

WV2 and FLAASH 1698 2
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
I'm trying to use FLAASH to atmospherically correct a WV2 image after using the radiometric calibration tool to format the image for FLAASH; however, when I input that image into FLAASH, it asks for an ascii file with wavelength and FWHM information. I don't see any ascii files in the imagery folders, and the metadata file doesn't work for this. What should I do Separately, is there another way to change radiance values to reflectance for WV2
