Editing spectral library (.SLI) header files 1783 2
Started by Deleted User
I have .ASD field spectrometer data that I exported to ASCII and then imported into ENVI and saved as a spectral library file (.SLI). Is it possible to create a bad bands list (or something similar) to mask out measurements affected by atmosphere I cannot find any way to direct way to edit the header file associated with my spectral library file either. When I run the "Edit ENVI Header" tool I get redirected to the Spectral Library Viewer when I open a .SLI, but the Spectral Library V...

Reading landsat from AmazonWS TIF format 2033 2
Started by Deleted User
I am having problems reading the TIF format from the Landsat repository on AmazonWS . ENVI 5.1 does not recognize this single-band TIF format. I have to read it in QGIS then save it as GeoTiff and then open it in ENVI. Any idea

WorldView-2 Calibration 1960 4
Started by Deleted User

I am having trouble radiometrically calibrating WorldView-2 multispectral imagery. In the past, I was able to do so using ENVI&39;s Radiometric Calibration tool to produce nice results with appropriate spectral profiles. Now, my results for different images acquired at various times of year in different study areas are all unusable. Even using the exact same approach in ENVI with the same image that produced good results before now gives me unusable results. I have tried ENVI, IDL and ...

Correcting color / white balance in R-G-NIR images 1876 2
Started by Deleted User

Hello,

I have two sets of images of vegetation plots taken on an NDVI camera (standard digital camera modified to record red, green and NIR)

One set is correct and produces good NDVI values. This set was taken after the camera&39;s white balance was set to a white card which is visible in the image. The other set does not have white balance set (so it was on auto), although white cards are still visible in the images. This second set is currently n...

Annotations and Display Borders 1443 0
Started by Deleted User

From a question a few days ago, I see that map keys and some other annotations are not yet available in ENVI 5. Programmatically, I can use envi_user_defined_annotation to construct an annotation file. I can display the data with envi_display_bands. I can obtain the display number, and I can even use the undocumented feature (2008 Forum question/answer that I found: thanks Mari!) ann_init to automatically display it.

However, I really wan...

UAV-Based Radiometric Correction 1968 3

Hi All-

Just curious, as I have non-calibrated UAV imagery. The radiometric correction tools in ENVI, at first glance (I am a novice) seem to be more focused towards satellite based sensors. Are there known tools or techniques in place to take care of issues such as Bidirectional Reflectance from low altitude UAV images

Basically, my current imagery is of RAW DN values. I wish to convert to radia...

Classification methods 1372 1

I am using ENVI to do something relatively simple: I have taken photos of plants and want to categorize the different colors to count the number of pixels in each (i.e. green=living, dead=brown, background=white). The photos are tracking the same plants over time and have been taken in the same place against a white background. I have done unsupervised classification (kmeans) and supervised classification (maximum likelihood). The maximum likelihood produced the results I was looking fo...

UAV-Ortho&39;s Histograms Alter when Opened in ENVI 1649 4

Hi All,

I will say first that I am a new ENVI user. I have proprietary UAV ortho products which have been calibrated for white and color balancing. They open fine in ArcGis. What process occurs when opening something in ENVI which causes this histogram/intensity alteration And is there any way to prevent this I wish to perform spectral anal...

NaN interplation 2782 7

Hello,

I&39;m currently using MODIS data and am running into problems with NaN values in the final product caused by clouds. I&39;m interesting in a simple way to spatially interpolate (fill in) these NaN values. Is there a menu function that can easily/simply do this without delving into the intricacies IDL
