I need some help in classifying multiple datasets in a single classification. I want to use Worldview 2, 4-band imagery (2 m res on MSS bands) as well as geophysical data (radiometric data at 50m res) as well as topographic data such as aspect slope and elevation (derived from a DEM). I can create classification results for each layer separately; but how do I integrate all the information into a single analysis Presumably I need to resample all the data to the same resolution (2 m) as a starti...

Hi,
I am a new user to Envi 5.0. I am using L1b 250m modis imagery, and I have multiple layers from many days image I have projected on envi.
My question is how do I extract data values from a ROI (river) from all the layers in envi I have the shape file which outline the river I just need to how to extract all the data values from all the layers at once to view DN change ( ie. over different days)

Hi,
I am totally new to remote sensing and ENVI. I am trying to do vegetation classification. What I don't understand is how to use NDVI. Once, I create NDVI it gets loaded to ENVI as a separate layer. What exactly am I supposed to do with it when I run let's say unsupervised classification Can someone explain that to me I am sorry that I am sounding really stupid but this is all new to me.

Hi
I'm processing external data files and have a problem related to the image coordinates of the tie point within the newly saved files (ENVI-format and geotiff).
This error occurs during batch-processing ALOS AVNIR-2 files, which are available in raw-data format (image centered tie point and rotated) and can be read with the 'read external files routine':
envi_open_data_file, files&91i&93, /alos, r_fid=fid
envi_file_query, fid, ns=ns, nl=nl, nb=nb
My aim is now to save these files ...

Hi
I used "Builds RPCs" to generate satellite image rpc and the result had been saved in *hdr file.
However, I cannot understand what those coefficient means.
In my current understanding, the 3rd order rational function had about 80 coefficients, however, the results provided 92 coefficients.
I cannot find the explanation of this result in IDL Help, could you help me

What I am trying to do is create an exercise for my students to test them on their supervised classifications. I have them making their own training ROI's for Landsat TM data. What I need is the ground truth data, in this case in the form of Land Use maps provided by the county.

I’m looking for an equation to measure the quality of the scanned map depending on the resolution of the scanner in dot per inch (dpi) and the scale of the scanned map (hardcopy) so that the table below can be justified.

I’m wondering if there is a mathematical relation between the scale and resolution of the image captured by aircraft and thus the table below can be justified:

Can I simply geocode the filtered interferogram _fint I don't need to create a displacemnt/height map which I know is the typical product that is geocoded. I simply need to geocode _fint which contains the phase information.
I realize the basic module has a coregistration option in the menu. But I'm unsure if this can be used to geocode a filtered interferogram file correctly. I tried to "force" it to take an _fint file (it will take regular _int) and it appeared to proce...

Kindly, could anyone please let me know; is it possible in ENVI 4.8 to classify the vegetation density using an NDVI image according to the NDVI pixel value into (for instance) five categories, as following:
1. >0 to 0.15
2. >0.15-0.30
3. >0.30-0.45
4. >0.45-0.60
5. >0.60
Whereat all pixels in the first category take the value 1, all pixels in the second category take the value 2, and so on. Then please how to convert each mentioned category from rast...

I want to runing the data of MISR by envi 4.8, I just downloaded the misr.pro from the misr website and copy to the save_add in the envi48 folder. Then I could not see the MISR option in the main menu/open external file in ENVI. Could you help me what i have to do Thank you
