HiRISE JPEG2000 data in ENVI 1504 4

I need to analyze HiRISE image data in ENVI 5.0. I apparently need a toolkit that I'll add to ENVI. However,this link:
http://www.exelisvis.com/groups/index.asp, which I found here: http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/jp2.php, does not contain toolkits to download. And this PDF doc: http://www.exelisvis.com/portals/0/pdfs/envi/ENVI_HiRISE.pdf contains a link for the toolkits, but the link is broken. How can I analyze HiRISE data in ENVI

exporting tiff to Matlab _full image works but subimage does not 1521 1

Hi
I am working with remotes sensing images Landsat 6693x7974 pixels, when I save them as .tiff in envi and read them into matlab it is all fine
but when I save a subset of them, using "file" option, the images look ok in the windows directory preview but matlab reads them wrong. Less spectral resolution basically, and lower values (instead of 200 maximum value, it gives 30).
Why is that the class of imported files is always uint8. Then when I reopen the same subset images in en...

Hello,
It is not a first time when i am asking about IDL CPU parameters. You suggested me a help article from exelis home page nr. 3259. Actually it is not exist!
Could you suggest something else, please. Or explain by your self. I cant handle ENVI help.
ENVI help says, FLAASH works on every size of image. Firs error is non blank pixels. I increase the tile size every time up to 100 mb at the end it cant allocate the memory. I have 8 CPUs and 16 GB of RAM, i think it not so bad parameters. I...

In ENVI 4.8, there was an option to queue files for Gram-Schmidt pan-sharpening. However, in 5.0 I do not see, or cannot find, this option. Am I just not looking in the right spot

Independent component analysis: transform matrix unavailable? 1189 3

Independent component analysis in ENVI could produce a file including the transform matrix so the transform could be reversed later. But the file seems to be binary and I cannot get the values of the matrix.
Even the routine ENVI_ICA_DOIT is only able to provide the name of the transform file as an output. Any means to show the matrix Thanks.

Hi,
I would like to subset, say, 100 images with the same ROI. Is there a way to do this automatically using the usual GUI (ie without going into IDL), instead of manually subsetting for each image These 100 images are of the same map projection.

Dear all
I have problem in converting countors line to DEM. My data is so big about 815MB. I tried more and more to converted, it showed me this error message "envi-grid-doit: an error has occured during processing. Unable to allocate memory to make array" Please help me about this problem.
My pc propertise is
Processor is intel core 3.4 GHz
System type is 64-Bit
RAM is 16GB

I am trying to calculate how many pixels are in each class after the classification is done but I don't want to do it for the entire raster. I want do it only for a section of it. When I ran stats and select Spatial Subset and select file it reads the white space as part of the raster (obviously) but I only want to have it calculated for the non rectangular shape that is in the file. The file was created in ArcMap. Basically it is a raster clipped to a shape. When I open it in ENVI it ends ...

I want to calculate NDVI and to compare NDVI.

Step 1-Convert DN to Radiance
Formula :Each band*0.01
Result for example:
pixel value DN – 4485
pixel value rad -47.969997
Step 2-Convert to reflectance, compute TOA,
for example date 18/05/2011, blue band
(3.14159* b1 * 1.01629*1.01629) /(1997.8 * 0.5425)
Result for example:
pixel value DN = 4924

Hi,
according to the User Guide the wavelength information of Quickbird images will be retrieved by ENVI when reading the file via File -> Open External File -> Quickbird -> GeoTIFF.
ENVI 4.8 did so once when I conducted Gram-Schmidt Spectral Sharpening. However, I would also like to do CN Spectral Sharpening and while the multispectral image gets all the information, the panchromatic doesn't.

My another question is, how can i involve additional bands or features like PCA-bands, Texture Features to my original 5 bands of rapideye to conduct any classifikation (maybe to get better classification results to distinct my land use classes)

i have actually one problem with rule classifier decision threshold values after Max Likelihood classification.
The values there are ranging from negativ values to positive values, for example: "-5", "13", "200"
This is not ok, i know that. But why is it so in ENVI Rule Classifier (if , said, i take threshold 95 for all classes, then automatically i get these different values). Befor classification i already tried to stretch the data as gaussian and also...

I have HDF images produced by a NASA software. HDFs do not contain map information, but there is a standard ENVI .hdr associated with each HDF.
HDFs are opened correctly with envi_open_file, but bands need to be selected manually, which is impossible in batch mode. I tried to use "envi_open_data_file,fname,/hdf_sd,hdfsd_dataset=pos", but header information was lost and the opened images did not have map projection.
I don't know how to add map information to any opened dataset. And I ...

How do I differentiate ndvis from different files When I use {ndvi} lt 0.2 then link it to lets say 1.tif then I want to use ndvi from 2.tif, I can't just write {ndvi} ge 0.2 because it calculates ndvi from 1.tif. So how does one go about that

Hi,
I calculated NDVIs for two images. I want to create 5 classes. They are 1. nonvegetated areas that became vegetated 2. vegetation increased 3. no change 4. vegetation decreased 5. vegetation areas became nonvegetated
This is how I am imagining this:
nonveg to veg - NDVI values that changed from =0.2
veg increased - NDVI values that changed from >=0.2 to > their previous value
No change - NDVI values that are the same for both dates
veg decreased - NDVI values that changed from >=0.2...
