Replace negative and zero values for all bands in image 3785 8
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
I would like to replace all negative AND zero values with another value in an image with four bands. I attempted file math using the following expression: ((b1 le 0) * (-999)) ((b1 gt 0) * b1).
The above expression worked fine on replacing negative values with -999; however, in band 4 I am still seeing some zero values with multiple occurrences. These pixels should be -999 also. Obviously, I am missing or misunderstanding something about expressions and band/file math. Can anyone ...

orthorectification Landsat 1135 1
Started by Deleted User
Dear users,
I'm making a orthorectification with ENVI 5.0, but I don't have the RCPs. I would like to know if it is possible to get the RPC of a LANDSAT image somewhere.
Thank you so much

What height need for the RPC orthorectification process? 1017 2
Started by Deleted User
The Elev value specified in the Ground Control Points Selection dialog
for orthorectification in ENVI must be relative to the geoid height specified for the RPC orthorectification
process.
RPC orthorectification requires height above the ellipsoid.
What height we must write in the Ground Control Points Selection dialog

to what extent does water affect co-registration? 1092 2
Started by Deleted User
I'm curious if water plays any role in the co-registration process for interferogram creation. Most of my research focuses on coastal zones undergoing subsidence in the United States (Texas, Louisiana Mississippi) and, as a result, large portions of the scene contain water.
This doesn't appear to be an issue with Envisat data but ERS2 data I'm beginning to wonder if this could be a problem. The SARscape help says that when it attempts to co-register scenes, it first creates 'mini interferogram...

do you really need a minimum of 20 SLC's for an accurate persistant scatter in SARscape? 1043 1
Started by Deleted User
The help for persistent scatter (PS) states
"The coherence estimate can be considered "reliable", for the PS identification, using 20 input acquisitions or more "
This seems like an exceedingly high amount of inputs (in addition to the work required to focus all 20 scenes). When I use only 7 input SLC's and click the "estimate precision' it yields:
PRECISION (VELOCITY=1.37088 Height=1.5494e-014)
Given this precision estimate, wouldn't only 7 interferograms as in...

I have an NDVI image and want to cut out a RIO's, ive tried spatial subset via ROI but that just cuts out a square region around the RIO but it like the image to be cut completely to the irregular shape of the Roi. Sure there is a simple solution iv'e missed, Thanks.

Error trying to generate random sample 1263 2
Started by Deleted User
Hello All-
As the title suggests, I'm trying to generate a random sample using an ENVI classification but receive the error "Illegal subscript range GT_CLASS_NAMES" after which the process bails. The header has been modified to clean up the class names, but does not contain any special characters--the longest class name is 10 characters.
Any insight
Thanks--

Remote Desktop and ENVI 4.8 1551 2
Started by Deleted User
I'm trying to help someone set up the ability to connect to a Windows computer over Remote Desktop. I used to be able to do it all the time while I was at Brown, with no special settings or anything needed. Now, with Win7 and ENVI 4.8, something seems to have changed. When I connect remotely, I get a "Licence not found" error, but if I sit at the actual machine we're trying to access remotely, the license works perfectly. Is there something simple that I'm missing Anyone else had...

Orthorectifying DEM from DEM 1173 1
Started by Deleted User
I have two DEMs, one (DEM1) containing more details than the other (DEM2). I warped DEM1 (warp) to DEM2 (base) to make the coordinate system match (correcting in x and y direction). Now the coordinates in the two DEMs matches but the elevations divert unequally over the DEM. I want to make DEM1 to match DEM2 in the z direction (elevation). I've tried using Rigorous Orthorectification but it doesn't seems to be the solutions as interior and exterior orientation for the 'Build RPC' is unknown. Is...

Hyperion toolkit and ENVI5.0 1396 1

Good Morning,
I am trying to use the Hyperion toolkit, but I have problems already at the installation step.
The User Guide points out that I need to place the hyperion_tools.sav and hyperion_wl_fwhm_bbl.txt files in my ENVI save_add and/or extensions folder and that the location of this folder will vary by operating system and ENVI version.
I am using ENVI5.0 (without the "" symbol indicated in the User Guide) Standard on a Windows platform, so according to the UG I should place t...

How to use ROI to conduct supervised classification? 1167 1
Started by Deleted User
Hello,
I want to create 100 points using ROI so I can use them to conduct a supervised classification of an IKONSO image. I know ther area very well and can distinguish between grass, woody vegetation, agriculture, road, rivers. My question is:
When I am creating the ROI, should I create one ROI/category (25 points in ROI) or should I create 25 ROI for each category
Any help is greatly appreciated!
thank you

Building Mask from classified image 1204 4
Started by Deleted User
Hello,
i am just trying to build mask for my already classified image (by Maximum Likelihood) for 3 crop types from total:6
for the purpose to conduct new classification with Neural Net, if i take as input my maximum likelihood classified image mask.
I know, that this is possible, from another thesis. But however i have no success with this. I used ROIs for mask. Is there any good way to mask out needed crop types to let them flow in Neural Net Classifier Thank you very much
