I have one question to Max Likelihood discriminant values problem after classifikation:
wenn i need true probabilities, how can i do that because in Rule classifier for Rule images of Maximum Likelihood classification file i have only negative values as discriminant values...i have heard, there is possibility to convert this values in true probabilities via Band math with EXP- Function. Hi,
I finished my classification task and have now a bunch of images (grayscale) that are overlapping each other in various ways. During the classification process I solved the issue that ENVI considers areas that hold no data, and are the result of turning an image during the rectification process, by applying a data range mask.

Hi, I have four DEM (Tiff) files that need to be Mosaic. After inputting them in the 'conventional Mosaicing' program (under SARscape - Basic - Mosaicing), the program generates an error report which says 'sml file not found'. Please, what can I do to create a new set of the DEM data that contain sml files. Thank you

Need help with assigning colors to huge amount of ROIs in ENVI 1103 1

Hello,
I am sorry for bad terminology, but my first language is not english and i am not an envi specialist.
I have:
1) 254 colors used for ROIs in colors50.txt
2) 1000 ROIs, which consist 1 pixel and 1 point each
3) ROIs have 8 bands each
I need to assign different colors to ROIs based on their band values. How can i do it, spending adequate amount of time So far i see that the only way is to do it manually one by one.
What i've done:
1) Exported ROIs to ASCII format.

Are ENVI tools delivered with ENVI 5.0sp1 compatible with ArcGIS 9.3 or 9.3.1 When installing tha latest (5.0sp1) version of ENVI they are installed, but the tools do not appear in the Arctoolbox, not even after pointing to them, with the "add toolbox" menu option.

I have a group of hyperspectral scenes I'm trying to do a brightness temperature calcualtion on. So I have 256 bands of data in each image file, that I need to apply a band math equation to but that equation is different for every band (as it uses the band wavelength in it's calculation).

Hi
I am trying to stack the layers of a Landsat scene. The original data is in a .fst format, and opens as two separate layers - one with bands 1 to 5 and band 7, and the other with only band 6. I need to stack it in the correct order - obviously if I just stack those two layers, the band order is 1,2,3,4,5,7,6 - this gives problems with my later processing steps. Is there some way to either split the bands of the first layer and then re-stack them, or to re-order the bands of an already stac...

Hello,
Is it possible to combine ERS2 and Envisat data for 4-pass differential InSAR (DInSAR) Specifically can I have the following combinations:
Master 1: ERS2
Slave 1: ERS2
Master 2: Envisat
Slave 2: Envisat
I realize that mixing Envisat and ERS 2 within the same master/slave combination would be problematic. But since M1/S1 create DEM1 and M2/S2 create DEM2 deformation , it would make sense that these could be combined in the above mentioned way.

I need to create a mask from areas of my first classification to apply to the multispectral image during my second classification so that it would ignore some areas. How is it possible
And another very important question for my work:
if i have my satellite image with rois-classes and now i will mask out step by step some classes to classify then each class-group separate.

Hello!
I'm quite new to IDL/ENVI and at the moment I'm struggling with importing level 0 HDF_EOS data from Landsat 7. This works quite well when using the GUI, but for practical reasons (batch jobs) it would be quite useful using the console. So what I've done so far doesn't work:

Hello, I'm trying to use FLAASH to correct hyper-spectral images taken by CASI-1500, but the results aren´t good compared with In situ. The In situ data are collected during the fly time. The FLAASH results have an obvious curving down. Meanwhile, In situ data have a slight curving down. I have changed different even it is unreasonable for my area, it seems change the intensity of reflectance.
This is the result between 4 hyper-spectral images and In situ one the same position.
