compressed ERDAS files 2824 2

Hello,
I just tried to load an ERDAS (v.2010) .IMG file into ENVI 4.7 an get an error message 'Error reding ERDAS file: Compressed ERDAS files are currently not supported'.
However, teh ITT website says compressed ERDAS files are supported:

I am confused... anyone knows how to best get the file into ENVI

Hi,
I have 1 Landsat 7 ETM image, my_image.tif, and 1 shape file, my_shape_file.shp.
my_image.tif uses the UTM projection associated to the WGS84 datum.
my_shape_file.shp represents a boundary (a potato form boundary), which uses the Gauss Kruger projection ( which I read on Wikipedia was the same as the UTM projection) with the datum pulkovo 1942.
I’m trying to extract a ROI using my shape file.
I open my_image.tif, (File -> Open Image File) then open my_shape_file.s...

Hi,
I am using MODIS Aqua L2 data. It does not have any projection system and I tried the "Georeference MODIS" tool in Map menu, but it did't work. Can any one please tell me how to solve this one.

Hi all.. I need to work on LRO Min RF data which is a Level-2 processed PDS product... The data has been resampled into some "Oblique Cylindrical" projection and Moon datum by which iam not able to read the map info associated with the imagery.. I was able to add (or customize) Moon datum to the 'ellipsoid.txt' file but unable to add that projection system to the same... Is there any solution to it or i just want to know if these projection and datum systems are available in the newer...

Hello,
I conducted a vegetation delineation on a 1m pansharpened IKONOS image. It generated a "classification" image with four classes (no veg, sparse veg, moderate veg and dense vegetation). I modified the NDVI values to fit more closely what I see in the true color image.
I would like to know if there is any way to generate a stratified random sample of points using these four "classes" I have generated a random sample of points for an unsupervised classificatio...

maybe this is too general, but just recently I wanted to download a code from the code library - save_sli_to_ascii.pro from 2002. It seems that the link is broken. Can anyone from ITTVIS check this and either remove the code or repair the link(which would be better:)). I assume all of the codes must be stored on ITTVIS servers...

How can it be interpreted if a PPI plot isn't asymptotically approaching a flat line (zero slope) but rather having a contant slope I am working on a MNF-transformed Hyperion scene and tested different settings:&160; 30.000 iterations, different thresholds (2-3), all MNF-bands, MNF-bands with eigenvalue
Why weren't there all extreme pixels found (plot approaching a flat line) Do all extreme pixels need to be found for correct endmember extraction

I have Landsat ETM (Type: "L1T") containing DN but without wavelength details which seems to be requirement for running FLAASH. While I performed the FLAASH it was asking for ASCII file containing wavelength details which I do not have it. Could anyone help me with this.

I am trying to get the Datum info on the 4 sinusoidal grids near the Korean peninsula. I have been working on H28V05 only, but I am now eepanding my study area into 3 grids nearby.&160;

Edge Stripes on classified Landsat Imagery 1673 1

Hello all, I have a problem which I'm sure has been encountered before yet I am out of ideas of how to fix it.
I have classified some Landsat TM images and due to the background and offset at the edge of the tile there were missclassifications on the edge. I tried to mask out this area out however it still produces some striping along the edge of the image. Not sure what else could be done.
Any help would be great.

When I try to segment an image the segmentation gets to about 30 percent and then stops. I have the option of clicking next again and the same thing happens. I'm using a 4 band 1 meter spatial resolution image from NAIP and it's a geotiff. Anyone have any ideas

I have a very general question about most suitable citation style or most preferable for you as company. I use ENVI and IDL a lot in my research and always there is some confusion about how to give a credit to ENVI as software in the paper.
