ENVI 5.1 Hot Fix

A new ENVI 5.1 hot fix was released July 31, 2014 and is available for download from the Exelis VIS website under My Account->Downloads (logging into the website is required).

The latest hot fix includes all previously released fixes for ENVI 5.1 (1-6).  The Release Notes for Hot Fix 7 (show below) will be installed in the \Exelis\ENVI51 directory and discuss all new added features and bug fixes since the ENVI 5.1 release.

In 51R7

  -ENVI-69710 : Radiometric calibration tool returns incorrect result with 4-bands WorldView-2 data.
  -ENVI-69909 : WorldView-2 import does not include calibration info from IMD file.
  -ENVI-69992 : ENVI Fails to write to GDB.
  -ENVI-69942 : The Time metadata for GF-1/ZY-3/ZY-1-02C needs to be corrected to UTC.

Fixes from 51R6 included in 51R7

  -ENVI-69889: Null object error pop up from ROI/Transect manipulators while DoD Plug-in is installed.
  -ENVI-69884: Running an ENVITask with Lidar installed but not licensed causes a Lidar licensing error.
  -ENVI-69898: ENVI gives non-descript null object reference error for certain NITF products with a piece of bad metadata. (DES/security segment)

Fixes from 51R5 included in 51R7

   -Added sensor support to FLAASH for Ziyuan 1-02C (ZY-1-02C), Ziyuan 3A (ZY-3A), and Gaofen 1 (GF-1)
   -Gaofen 1 support updated with the center wavelength from the latest GF-1 PMS and WFV spectral specification

Bug Fixes:
  -ENVI-69734: ENVIRasterToFID does not work on a raster that is from a user-defined custom reader (TerraSARX custom reader fix).
  -ENVI-68941: ROI:Export All from n-D Visualizer doesn't export ROIs back to the ROI tool.
  -ENVI-69824: Export spectral plot to ASCII produces incorrect columns.
  -ENVI-69847: A NITF file with custom GEOSDE projection cannot be opened through the API, but can be opened through the user interface.
  -IDL-69080: For all products, the License Wizard cannot establish an SSL connection with the VIS server to download licenses (update ca-bundle.crt).

 -ENVI-69802: Updated logic to account for the PointZ record type that contains three values in the data instead of two.

    New Sensor Support:
      -SkySat: Select File > Open As > SkySat
      -Ziyuan 1-02C: Select File > Open As > CRESDA > ZY-1-02C
      -Ziyuan 3A: Select File > Open As > CRESDA > ZY-3
      -Gaofen 1: Select File > Open As > CRESDA > GF-1

Plot Updates:
        -Added plot preferences for Background Color and Foreground Color to File > Preferences > Plot, and to the General tab of the plot properties.

    NOTE: If the Background Color=black and the Foreground Color=white, colors will be reversed for plot printing. Any other color settings will print as-is.

        -Added plot preferences for X Major Ticks and Y Major Ticks to File > Preferences > Plot, and to the General tab of the plot properties.

    NOTE: Major Ticks are the number of major tick marks on the plot. Set to -1 to auto-compute. Set to 0 to suppress.

    Region of Interest Update:
        -Restoring an ENVI Classic ROI in ENVI now maintains original geometry and does not convert polygons to pixels. 

    Attribute Viewer Update:
        -Added "Go To Record" feature. Highlight a record in the Attribute Viewer table, then click the Go To Record button on the menu bar. The Image window centers over and highlights the selected vector record.

Bug Fixes:

HDF5 Fixes:
    -ENVI-69741: The HDF5 Browser does not show all available data for HICO HDF5 files.
    -ENVI-69743: OMI/Aura multiband rasters from HDF5 files do not open correctly.
    -ENVI-69740: ENVI crashes if an HDF5 file is deleted or modified while the HDF5 browser is displayed in ENVI.
    -ENVI-69276: Vegetation Index Calculator unable to compute results for Landsat 8 data.
    -ENVI-69702: FX Preview shows a black background and not the image pixels.
    -ENVI-69692: Progress bar doesn't update when saving a image.
    -ENVI-69732: North Arrow and Rotate North is Up have incorrect rotation angle for some images with RPC.
    -ENVI-69744: Workflow dialogs cannot be re-sized to accommodate larger fonts.

Fixes from 51R1 included in 51R7

    -Updated VQ compression algorithm to better maintain colors in CADRG output.
