Call Customize Projection 890 1
Started by Deleted User
Hello,
I would like to know how to call the "Customize projection" widget from IDL and how to retrieve the information it throws.
I saw Mr. White is doing it in the Modis Toolkit, but I did not found any hint in the help file...
Thank you!!!

dear all,
i've got a sar image on which i defined different roi areas. for a statistical analysis, i need to export every single pixel value (DN) within a specific roi. as i can see, when i export a statistics files from envi, the DNs are classified with different bin sizes. is it possible to avoid classification and export all DNs

thanks in advance!

ENVI LiDAR Toolkit - Error message 1222 2
Started by Deleted User
I have used the ENVI LiDAR Toolkit in the past but this is an issue I have not seen. When I click to use the "3D Lidar Levels Viewer" I get a warning window that states:
The following error was encountered: Attempt to call undefined procedure/function: 'GET_SCREEN_SIZE'. Please consult the supplier of the application.
I have looked for additional information but have found none. Any suggestions.
Thanks

how to assign colors for a classified image with code 1188 0
Started by Deleted User
Classified image from Envi in it's own format has default&160;gray value&160;based on zero to num_class-1, and there will be default colors defined for each class in the .hdr file.
But supposed coding the grayValue in this way, for example: 0, 14, 168, 22, 246, 279, 34, 379.&160; And now how should assign colors for each class ,as well as save the &160;image in tiff format.

generating a mask from an ROI in IDL, and then apply over an image.img 1284 1

Hi all,
I&180;m trying to generate a mask from an region of interest ROI&160;in IDL, and then apply over an image.img,
From an vector,&160;I&160;generate&160;the ROI (in ENVI) exporting active layer to roi (one ROI), then I save the ROI.
I generate the mask from a “region of interest.roi”, the code works, but doit wrong, because the mask generated with the roi have diferent numbers of files and columns that the original image,&160;then the image masked had a wrong size. I attach the c...

export .evf to ascii 1202 0
Started by Deleted User
Hi all
I'm working on coastlines in antarctic area and i would like to edit a coastline which is in a vector file .evf to make it fit the coastline of a geotiff, and after editing, export the coastline in an ascii file made of to columns (longitute and latitude for each point).
Until now, i manage doing this by exporting my vector file to a ROI and then, from ROI to ASCII, but in the file i get, the points don't appear in the right order. It seems that the image and vector are scanned and the ...

Problem creating a spectral library 1203 0
Started by Deleted User
Short version: So I have these spectra I'm trying to import into ENVI so I can use them in mixure tuned matched filtering a Hyperion file. I brought them in as an ASCII file but it insists on thinking that the number of wavelengths (1-195) is the amount of wavelengths, when that's actually about 400 to 2300 nm. Hence, when I try to MTMF, it gives me only static as an output, I'm guessing because it's trying to compare wavelengths with wavelengths that aren't there.
Here's the long version, so ...

Landsat L1T (and perhaps other formats) Pre-processing Problem 1144 2
Started by Deleted User
I've think I've discovered a problem with the Landsat TM pre-processing functionality built into ENVI.&160;&160;As accessed through the ENVI menu system, the tmcal_doit function does not correctly adjust for the gain/bias as used in the L1T processing for Landsat 5 or 7.&160; It appears as though it does not&160;know that the minimum QCal DN value is 1, not 0, and miscalculates both the gain and bias when converting to at-sensor-radiance.&160; This causes errors in both calculations of at-s...

conditional statement 1358 1
Started by Deleted User
Is there some function in ENVI that allows for building a conditional statement For example:
If Band 1 = 5 then Band 8
If Band&160;1 = 6 then Band 9
otherwise Band 7
I've done similar things in other RS software, but cannot find it in ENVI. I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Mike

pixel editing other than SpatialPixelEditor 1114 2
Started by Deleted User
Hello,
For some post-classification, I'd simply like to create an ROI and then set all pixels within that ROI to one class value, so that I can quickly get rid of some small misclassifications. Spatial Pixel Editor, as well as Sieve, Clump don't produce the results I need. If anyone knows, please let me know.
Thanks.

Preprocessing L1T/L1G 1272 1
Started by Deleted User
Hello everybody,
&160;
I am a new ENVI user and have my problems with the first steps of preprocessing and calibrations. I have some Landsat-5-TM and Landsat-7-TM Data (L1T-Type / L1G-Type) and my aim is a change detection map for nearly 20 years of landscape development.&160; My question is now, which preprocessing steps are necessary and which are already done as a standard from Landsat
Thank's for all answers and a nice week for all.
