The ENVI Py Engine provides a standalone Python API to run ENVI analytics provided by ENVI Desktop. You can query for available ENVI and IDL tasks, retrieve task information, and run tasks on the desktop. Use the ENVI Py Engine if you will not be running ENVI analytics in ArcGIS software. ENVI Py Engine is supported on all platforms that ENVI supports. Refer to the envipyengine online documentation for installation steps and documentation.
