Hi,
I would like some guidance on how to export my Lidar data into Arcgis I have only been able to find ways to export it as a jpg or image document. Is there a way to move it to arcgis as a raster or vector file I was able to open it in Arcgis 10 as a point file however I would rather have a raster or vector file.
I have ENVI 4.8.

Hi every one
I have problem to create a Digital Surface Model and Digital Terrain Model from surfaces represented by digital elevation model.
I think we can not creat DSM and DTM from DEM by ENVI. if you have good sugestion please tel me. i will be appreciated if you solve my problem. if my question is not understandable, please follow this link. Thank you

ROI with the same area 1122 2

Hello,
I need some ROIs with the same area. I created a recatngle ROI and saved it as ASCII code, then I added same values to X and Y and saved new ASCII code. I opend the new ASCII code using 'Input points from ASCII' but the new ROI is not a rectangle, it is a polyline!
Can anybody help me with this

hello every body
I want to calculate the land surface temperature from Landsat5 data aquired in 1987 and 2003, I converted the thermal band (band6) to radiance using calibration utility but when I want to use the Thermal atm. correction utility or to calculate emisivity I faced this problem
"the file must contain wavelength information"
what does this mean
and how to do that

I am wondering if the ENVI FLAASH module supports ALOS AVNIR-2 and KOMPSAT-2 data.
If not, is there a plan of the inclusion of above sensors in thee FLAASH module
Of course, I know an empirical line process would be applied to radiance-converted AVNIR-2 data.

I am using ENVI 4.5 and have a question. I calculated the NDVI for an aerial image with 4 bands using Band Math. Now I want to put a threshold for the NDVIs and using a For Loop calculate the sum of NDVIs within this threshold. How can I do it

Hi Folks,
I know it possible to customize ENVI adding custom functions.
Now, I am more wondering in adding new grpahical objects to Envi.
There are already objects that allow to create an AOI for ex. Let's say that I would like to create a custom cross that I can move around in the full resolution display to mark a pixel that I would like to analyse with a custom function.
Is this possible

I am using ENVI 4.7. I creat a new datum for my study area. After that I created new map project and used new datum. But when I changed map project from UTM map project system to map project system, a envi error appeared, that is " Reprojection Error: Coordinate system is not set" and many errors followed it.
I creat new map project with parameters:
project type: transverse mecator
projection datum: new datum (elipsoid WSG 84)
false easting:500000
false northing:0

I have an image calculated from SAVI (Soil-adjusted Vegetation Index) using MODIS Data. At first, the display shows almost plain white with streaks of grays but generally it is white that you can you cannot distinguish the features. This, apparently, shows some problems with my image. However, when I subset the image using EVF (three location points) the image appears to be not wrong.

Hi, I was wondering... I would like to calculate the spectral similarity existing between spectra that I have selected from different hyperspectral images in ENVI. How can I do this in ENVI I am more interested in the shape of the spectra and not the magnitude of the values, so I believe spectral angle would be a good measure. However, I do not want to classify or map images with spectral angle mapper, only study the spectra and find out their spectral angles. Is it possible to do this in ENVI...

Athough I installed the ArcGis9.3 before I installed the ENVI4.7,I installde the ENVI4.7 as the right steps,I also can't use the ENVI,till I have installde the ENVI4.7 and configured the limits of authority,I openned the ENVI4.7, the dialog box said"License Manager: Cannot find license file...",my system is Win7,32bit.please show me how to get onto the right path.

Working daily with anaglyph images for geological/geomorphological analysis on stereo images obtained from high/very-high resolution satellite images, I'm searching for a solution to avoid to use the classic red/blue glasses.
Looking at an alternative solution I've found the 3D glasses NVIDIA (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-home-users.html) that coupled with a dedicate hardware (shutter glasses, 120Mhz screen...) allow to see in 3D without stressing the eye...

I am trying to subset some MODIS products to a common spatial extent. I need to subset the MOD12 (land cover) and MOD13 (vegetation indices). They have been reprojected to a common UTM coordinate system with the same datum. I stacked several MOD13 dates and subset in one step using "Layer Stacking" and using the "Spatial Subset" option. Hi, I have ENVI 4.8 and i complied some functions in IDL. I would like to use my complied IDL functions for band math in ENVI 4.8. In the manual they have given that I should save the complied function in IDL as .sav file. And I should put that .sav file in Save_Add directory in ENVI. When i open the ENVI and went to band math to add that function, but its not there. I complied my function in IDL, but i am not able to locate this complied file. Is this the correct way or not.
