This task downloads Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) raster Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data based on the result of a query. SRTM raster DEM data is available from https://srtm.csi.cgiar.org/.

Example

; Start the application
e = ENVI()

; Open an input file
File = Filepath('qb_boulder_msi', Subdir=['data'], $
Root_Dir=e.Root_Dir)
Raster = e.OpenRaster(File)

; Get the task from the catalog of ENVITasks
Task = ENVITask('DownloadSRTMRasterDEM')

; Define inputs
Task.SUB_RECT = [40.00828917, -105.23323393, -105.19577605, 39.98758405]

; Run the task
Task.Execute

; Add the output to the Data Manager
e.Data.Add, Task.OUTPUT_RASTER

; Display the result
View = e.GetView()
Layer = View.CreateLayer(Task.OUTPUT_RASTER)

Syntax

Result = ENVITask('DownloadSRTMRasterDEM')

Input properties (Set, Get): BUFFER_DISTANCE, COORD_SYS, OUTPUT_RASTER_URI, SUB_RECT

Output properties (Get only): OUTPUT_RASTER

Properties marked as "Set" are those that you can set to specific values. You can also retrieve their current values any time. Properties marked as "Get" are those whose values you can retrieve but not set.

TAGS

This task also contains the following properties:

BUFFER_DISTANCE (optional)

Specify a buffer in meters to extend the bounding box definition.

The default is 3000.

COORD_SYS (optional)

Specify the coordinate system of the output DEM.

The default is WGS-84.

OUTPUT_RASTER

This is a reference to the output raster of filetype ENVI.

OUTPUT_RASTER_URI (optional)

Specify a string with the fully qualified filename and path of the associated OUTPUT_RASTER. If you do not specify this property, or set it to an exclamation symbol (!), a temporary file will be created.

SUB_RECT (required)

Set this property to a four-element array expressing the spatial range for the query. The array is of the form: [minLongitude, minLatitude, maxLongitude, maxLatitude] in geographic coordinates.
