This task calibrates a radar amplitude raster to sigma nought backscatter, in decibels. It currently only works with ALOS-1 or ALOS-2 PALSAR Level-1.5, 2.5, and 3.1 data.
The virtual raster associated with this task is ENVIRadarBackscatterRaster.
Example
This example shows how to calibrate an ALOS-2 PALSAR Level-1.5 ScanSAR product to sigma nought backscatter:
e = ENVI()
File = 'LED-ALOS2404053250-200622-WBDL1.5GUD'
Raster = e.OpenRaster(File)
Task = ENVITask('RadarBackscatter')
Task.INPUT_RASTER = Raster
Task.Execute
DataColl = e.Data
DataColl.Add, Task.OUTPUT_RASTER
View = e.GetView()
Layer = View.CreateLayer(Task.OUTPUT_RASTER)
Syntax
Result = ENVITask('RadarBackscatter')
Input properties (Set, Get): INPUT_RASTER, OUTPUT_RASTER_URI
Output properties (Get only): OUTPUT_RASTER
Properties marked as "Set" are those that you can set to specific values. You can also retrieve their current values any time. Properties marked as "Get" are those whose values you can retrieve but not set.
Methods
This task inherits the following methods from ENVITask:
AddParameter
Execute

RemoveParameter
Properties
This task inherits the following properties from ENVITask:
COMMUTE_ON_DOWNSAMPLE
COMMUTE_ON_SUBSET
DESCRIPTION

TAGS
This task also contains the following properties:
INPUT_RASTER (required)
Specify a radar amplitude raster on which to apply the backscatter calibration.
OUTPUT_RASTER
This is a reference to the output raster of filetype ENVI.
OUTPUT_RASTER_URI (optional)
Specify a string with the fully qualified filename and path to export the associated OUTPUT_RASTER.
- If you set this property to an asterisk symbol (*), the output raster will be virtual and not written to disk.
- If you do not specify this property, or set it to an exclamation symbol (!), a temporary file will be created.
