ENVI EX Segmentation 1061 0
Started by Deleted User
After a softeware crash, is there any way to restart a feature extraction workflow at the merge stage rather than the segmentation stage with the regionmeans file&160; Or at the Computing Attributes stage with the mergedregionmeans file I don't really want to start from scratch again.
Can anyone tell me what the RegionMeansLabel file is
Thanks.

Negative position argument not allowed... 1835 2
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
What does this error message refer to, and what do I do about it
It comes up when I am trying to use ROIs for an ENVI standard file. there appear to be no projection issues as the ROIs appear in the correct locations - there could still be issues of course.
I am at a loss, anyone got any ideas
Many thanks,
Martin

ENVI Statistics File 1435 0
Started by Deleted User
I am creating a simple tool to extract the eigenvectors from a statistics file (*.sta) but want to include wavelength information. ENVI_GET_STATISTICS will provide the band numbers used, but not the wavelengths. If I open the *.sta file in a text editor, I can see the full filename (and path) that was used when calculating the statistics. Also, if you use "View Statistics File" in ENVI, the first piece of information in the textbox is the filename. Is anyone aware of a way to get this ...

Using output from ISODATA to do supervised classification 1771 0
Started by Deleted User
I have run ISODATA on an ETM image. After performing seperability analysis and eliminating classes, I want to use the edited signature file as a input for maximum likelihood. But there will be no ROIs associated with it. Is there a way to take to the output of ISODATA and use it as an input for maximum likelihood

ROI error 1568 0
Started by Deleted User
I tried to convert a vector to a ROI, but I got "None of the objects from this vector layer transferred to an ROI associated with the input file" error message. When I overlay the vector on the image, I saw the vector on image (so it's not a projection problem). I don't know why
I'll very appreciate any help.
Thanks very much!

map coordinates of tie point 1421 0
Started by Deleted User
I tried to open an AVHRR NDVI product in ENVI. The orginial file format is ER Mapper (*.ers). When I imported it into ENVI, the projection is missing. I opened the original file in ERDAS, and get the projection (Lat/Lon, WGS84), but I cannot find the "map coordinates of tie point". Does anyoen know how to get that info. I'll very appreicate your help!
Thanks very much!

Spectral response function 1187 0
Started by Deleted User
Hi all;
I am a new user to ENVI. My job involves working with data from a pair of&160; airborne hyperspectral imagers that were used to image clouds during a science field campaign. The first thing that I need to do is to obtain the spectral response function of the 2.21 micron channel of the imager using the aquired data.&160; However, I can't find in the ENVI literature a straight forward way to do that. I'd need both a plot and a table for a range wavelenghts around 2.21 microns. Does anyb...

Subset Image 1216 3
Started by Deleted User
Dear Friends,
I have tried many times with diffrent options available in spectral/spatial subset under basic tools to subset my image based on ROI or vector file.
The problem is it cannot subset as per the area of interest (which is irregular shape) and only giving output image as rectangular shape. I have created vector file also but with the same result.
Could you please advise me how to subset an image based on any roi/vector shape. I am using ENVI 4.5
Kind regards
PK

MODIS surface reflectance values 1117 2
Started by Deleted User
I downloaded MODIS surface reflectance 8d L3 global 250m grid data. When I loaded to ENVI and looked at the values, they are from 0-2 (I just looked at a bunch of locations with the cursor within an image).
When I loaded the same image to ERDAS, the values are 6000 to 8000, which are what I expected because they are the ref times 100.
I don't know why the two softwares gave me such different values Which one should I believe I'll very appreciate if anyone has experience with this and can he...

Whenever a tiff file is created by ENVI (eg. classification result),&160;I can't open it in any&160;other software. What's up with this Is there some setting I can change
I can workaround by saving it as another file format but this is very annoying.

Getting latitude and longitude 1184 1
Started by Deleted User
Hello everybody,
I am working with a geo-corrected hyperspectral image composed by 224 bands. In its header the UTM location (latitude / longitude) of the upper-left corner (long0,lat0), the pixel size and the rotation appear. By clicking in Tools / Cursor Location Value it is shown all the information about the pixel the mouse cursor is over, including its value and its latitude and longitude. How is the UTM calculated for each pixel
It would be very easy because:
latitude=lat0num_row*pix...
