scatter plot of whole image - R^2 calculation? 2064 6
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
help is needed. Keywords: Scatter plot, R^2 and NDVI
An example to understand the problem: I have a Band 3 SLC-on and for the same scene 2 different gap-filled files (done by different methods)
i want to compare SLC-on with gapfill1 and SLC-on with gapfill2
I want to make a scatter plot to compare them (see which gap-fill procedure is best). When i do so in ENVI, i only get the scatter plot of a small region - how can i get the scatter plot of the whole ima...

ENVI_DOIT Match Filter Dialog 1134 0
Started by Deleted User
I have seen various questions regarding this but no consistent answer - I have a series of procedures which run MF's on a large series of files. These procedures are called by an overarching procedure that manages which files get processed using various Match Filter configurations. Is there a consistent way to either (a) prevent the Singular Value Matrix dialog/info_widget or (b) programmatically close it
Note - do not reply to the email in my alias, that was a previous company I worked ...

Extracting shared subset of two images? 1046 1

ENVIers: I'm wondering if there is an easy way that, given two images in the same projection/datum and pixel sizes, how to extract a subset from each image corresponding to the overlap zone such that the two extracted regions have the same lines and samples Thanks!

Atmospheric correction of Hyperion data 1216 0
Started by Deleted User
I have used Hyperion tools to convert L1R hyperion file. I used the scale factor file created in this process, unedited at the beginning of the Flaash conversion dialogue. I assume this is ok. I assume the header file mentioned in the hyperion tools guide is the header file created in the conversion process. Which are the bad bands in this text file Are they the ones right at the bottom identified as bbl consisting of 0s & 1s why does this header file need the band values replaced after ...

Hi
I have used the hyperion tools to convert L1R file. I ticked the flaash scale text file option. The user guide for the tool asks the header file to be edited prior to Flaash conversion. Is this the header file which has data under the string bbl shown below

FLAASH input data 1031 1
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
I would ask you some suggestions about FLAASH module. I'm trying to make atmospheric correction on Landsat images; I know I'm making some mistake, because the FLAASH corrected image has about 60 negative pixels. I think the problem is in the visibility value: I put 10 km (according to meteo data archive), but in the ENVI Help I find that values less than 15 km mean a thick haze weather condition.
So the question is: for FLAASH, visibility is related ti weather conditions or to the ef...

Dear All,
After I processed Landsat 5TM in FLAASH then calculate NDVI. The value of some pixel is out of the range (0 to 1). The range is between -611 to 799.
Could you give me some advises.
Thank you.

Projection, QUAC 1286 4
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
I am beginner with ENVI. I work with SPOT level 1b (format tiff), projection UTM 33N, datum WGS-84.
When I load it to Envi, the image seems like it has no projection (has the shape of a rectangle, but it should be a parallelogram).
When I load it to ArcMap, picture has projection (WGS 84, UTM 33N). But if I something change in ENVI (format or calculate some index) and then I save the picture as tiff/geotiff, than the picture lose projection (in ArcMap). I want open this file in ArcM...

Hi, I need your help concerning FLAASH module utilisation.
I am trying to use the FLAASH module (ENVI 4.5, on windows) to make atmospheric correction on LANDSAT 5 TM image.

When I input Radiance image, ENVI software prompt "Enter ASCII file name containing wavelengths and FWHM".
I read ENVI help and I understand why this window appear but I don't know how to get the wavelengths and F...

No Available regions to use 1360 0
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
I was working on resizing data and everything was going fine.
I opened a vector(used for the ROI) and was using to to resize TIFF files. Then all of a sudden, when trying to change the spatial subset using an ROI I get an error saying "there are no available Regions to use".
I have no idea what is going on, I didn't change the process in any way.

FLAASH sensor azimuth angle 1018 2
Started by Deleted User
As defined in the manual:
"The azimuth angle is defined as the azimuth (the angle between the line of
sight and due North) of the sensor as viewed from the ground. This angle is arbitrary for
nadir-viewing sensors. Azimuth values must be between -180 and 180 degrees. For example,
if your azimuth from the sensor is 90 degrees (due east), then the azimuth from the ground is
-90 degrees (due west)."

Histogram issue with larger datasets? 1019 3
Started by Deleted User
When I use Compute Statistics under Basic Tools > Statistics and check the histogram option, the histogram of a relatively small file comes out fine, whereas the histogram of another, larger file does not seem right. It looks very regular, and every 7th bin or so has 0 in it, which looks odd and can certainly not be explained by the data. My question is: does ENVI has a known issue with computing histograms for larger datasets This one has 643,467 points.

Where can I get gapfill_output.txt file I´m working with ENVI 4.2.
Thank you for your help
