Too many unwrapping errors 44 0
Started by Karim Abdelmalik
This is the first velocity image after the completion of Inversion: First step of PS Interferometric stacking. It appears that the grid like pattern https://ibb.co/3W2CwLh is similar to the unwrapping error patterns but in the tutorials and help. phase unwrapping wasn't mentioned to be performed during this step. Also, why in the metadata, the description says that the products in the first inversion folder are of reference acquisition (the single master) and secondary acquisition (only the fir...

IDL_IDLBridge parallel computation 768 2
Started by WWei XXue
Dear all, I am working on IDL parallel computation by using IDL_IDLBridge. One problem arises when I tried to transfer the structure variable from parent to child. Using SetVar does not work! I searched the reason, saying 'Only scalar or array variables of numeric or string type can be transferred. Structures, pointers, and object references cannot be transferred between processes using the IDL_IDLBridge object'. My Structure variable (list variable) contains 56 2000column*1000row matrix. I...

map3d ? 654 1
Started by Ronn Kling
I've looked around and not found anything. The demo has a direct graphics one. I see from the help that plot3d does have a mapForward and mapinverse, so maybe I could use that Of course, I'm pressed for time and if anyone has a example using plot3d I would appreciate it. I want to put a satellite orbit over the earth. -Ronn

Execution Failed Error - Displacement Mapping 589 3
Started by Antóin O'Sullivan
Hello, I ran into an error when attempting to follow the self-paced training video for displacement mapping in SARscape on the ENVI application. After attempting the first step in the video (to run the displacement mapping program from the toolbox) I got an error that said 'Execution Failed &91;Process Import&93;, &91;Directory not found EC:40020&93;' It referenced the output folder as a potential cause of the error. I downloaded the course data from the website again, and tried closing and ...

Format for inputting metadata 511 4
Started by Karen Kowalewsky
What is the text format for inputting spectral band gains/offsets I created a text file with the gains for 400 bands I get an error massage that the number of lines and number of elements to not match. I have 400 lines, two columns band number and gain value. How is this file supposed to be assembled short of me fat fingering these values in the gui Thanks,

Reordering Spectral Bands 637 2
Started by Karen Kowalewsky
I thought I could reorder the spectral bands in the Raster Management Build Band Stack or Build Layer Stack routine. Apparently not and the combined raster stack has an odd band order of R,G,B,NIR,Red Edge, Deep Blue. The image display doesn't seem to care but spectrally I wonder if it matters. How can I reorder the bands I tried to manually edit in the metadata but received an image that spectrally and visually is incorrect.

Radiometric Calibration for WorldView 3 SWIR data 704 4
Started by Yu-Ting Yu
Hi, I was working with WorldView 3 SWIR data. For some reason, many areas of my SWIR data will be removed after I apply Radiometric Calibration in ENVI 5.6. When I say 'remove', I mean the area have information in the original data and it became blank after calibration. The product was obtained from L3Harris, originally from Maxer I think. The SWIR band was storage in 11-bit from 1 to 2047. Based on the metadata, the product type was 'Basic 1B'. The followings are the product description from...

netcdf maximum number of variables 1276 1
Started by Kostas Tsigaridis
I am trying to create a netcdf file with IDL that will contain 19,000 variables. The code executes without errors, but then the file only contains 8191 variables. I know that the netcdf library has a limit that you can overcome by recompiling in older versions (the limit is gone in very new versions), but how can I get this to work in IDL Thanks

Gain and offset values for Sentinel-2 2294 3
Started by Ale Briseno
Hello! I am new to ENVI and attempting to do a radiometric calibration and dark subtraction on Sentinel 2 L1C images. The metadata in the ENVI header shows 0.000 for the gain and offset values of all of the bands. I believe this is why I am getting 'no data' when I attempt the radiometric calibration. Where can I find or calculate the gain and offset values to input them using the 'Apply Gain and Offset' tool. I haven't found this information in the metadata, but I probably don't know wh...

ROI Statistics 1763 1
Started by CCC MMM
Hello all, I am new to this online community and may be asking some random general questions in the coming months. I would like to be able to interpret the statistics of an ROI, using ASTER L2 Surface Temperature (AST_08) data. My main objective is to be able to extract the average temperature within a 100 pixel area. I understand that this can be done by right clicking on the ROI layer and exporting the Statistics to a text file. When I do this, however, I can't make sense of any of the d...

change color -Nan pixels 1208 0

Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows a quick way to change the color of -Nan values in Envi. Doing some band math and band threshold images, and I masked the shadows in my data. Then I did continuum removal, and my shadows are now -Nan values. This is fine, however, I don't want them to be white in the image. Is there an easy way to change them to a different color

SVM on multispectral satellite data 1836 1

Hello everyone, I am using Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier on ASTER and Sentinel-2 datasets to map geological units. I am familiar with the basic statistical concept of SVM classifier, but in more practical terms, how does it use the spectral data from the satellite imagery to classify different classes How does it determine the most accurate fit from the image-based training dataset Cheers!

So my question is if I should try the MNF procedure. My thought is to see if the results without the step of MNF are also valid. Thank you very much for your help!!!

Hi,
I am trying to do atmospheric correction on AWiFS data onboard IRS-P6 using FLAASH module of ENVI 5.1.
I have some doubts in the parameters that need to be inputted into the module.
