Use the View Object Detection Raster Labels tool to display the labels of an object detection raster as annotations or vectors. Displaying them as vectors allows you to view associated attributes. This tool is for viewing labels only. It is not meant for editing labels or updating object detection rasters.

Follow these steps:

  1. Choose one of the following options to start the View Object Detection Raster Labels tool:

    • In the ENVI Toolbox, select Deep Learning > Object Detection > View Object Detection Raster Labels.

    • In the Deep Learning Guide Map, click this sequence of buttons: Object Detection > View Object Detection Raster Labels.

  2. In the Input Raster field, select an object detection raster that was created with the Build Object Detection Raster From Annotation or Build Object Detection Raster From ROI tool.

  3. Choose an option from the Display Labels drop-down list. The choices are:

    • Single Annotation: Display labels as individual annotation items that can be selected. An advantage of this option is that you can view the number of labels in each class. This information is displayed in the "Description" field in the property sheet of the object detection raster, in the lower-right corner of the ENVI application. If the raster was labeled with a large number of annotations, this option will result in slower performance.

    • Multipart Annotation: Display labels as groups of annotations, one per feature class. The total number of labels is listed under the annotation layer in the Layer Manager.

    • Single Vector:(default): Display labels as individual vector records that can be selected. With this option, you can view attributes for individually selected records.

    • Multipart Vector: Display labels as groups of vectors, one per feature class.

  4. To reuse these task settings in future ENVI sessions, save them to a file. Click the down arrow next to the OK button and select Save Parameter Values, then specify the location and filename to save to. Note that some parameter types, such as rasters, vectors, and ROIs, will not be saved with the file. To apply the saved task settings, click the down arrow and select Restore Parameter Values, then select the file where you previously stored your settings.

  5. Click OK. The resulting annotations or vectors are displayed.
