Use Upload Raster to ENVI Connect to upload one or more rasters from ENVI to ENVI Connect.

You can also write a script to upload rasters using the UploadRasterToENVIConnect Task task.

  1. From the ENVI menu bar, select File > Publish > Upload Raster to ENVI Connect. The Upload Raster to ENVI Connect dialog appears with the Required tab selected.
  2. In the ENVI Connect URL field, enter the URL of the IP address or server (host) name for the ENVI Connect server (i.e., https://server).
  3. In the Username field, enter an ENVI Connect login username.
  4. In the Password field, enter an ENVI Connect login password.
  5. Click the Browse button next to the Input Raster field, navigate to the desired directory, and select one or more rasters to upload to ENVI Connect. You can select multiple rasters using Shift or Ctrl.
  6. Select the Optional Metadata tab if you want to include additional information with the rasters. For each of the fields described next, enter one line item per raster listed in the Input Raster field.
  7. Enter a name in the Raster Name field for each raster.
  8. Enter a description in the in the Raster Description field.
  9. Specify for each raster if it has been processed in ENVI in the Is Derived field. Enter 0 (no) or 1 (yes). The default is 0.
  10. To reuse these task settings in future ENVI sessions, save them to a file. Click the down arrow and select Save Parameter Values, then specify the location and filename to save to. Note that some parameter types, such as rasters, vectors, and ROIs, will not be saved with the file. To apply the saved task settings, click the down arrow and select Restore Parameter Values, then select the file where you previously stored your settings.

  11. To run the process in the background, click the down arrow and select Run Task in the Background. If an ENVI Server has been set up on the network, the Run Task on remote ENVI Server name is also available. The ENVI Server Job Console will show the progress of the job and will provide a link to display the result when processing is complete. See ENVI Servers for more information.

  12. Click OK.
