ENVI can access data from the following types of remote services:

• Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC): Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Map Service (WMS), Web Map Tile Service (WMTS), and Web Coverage Service (WCS)
• ArcGIS image services
• JPEG 2000 Interactive Protocol (JPIP)
• Jagwire

Use the following options foto r connecting to remote datasets:

• Select File > Open Remote Dataset to connect directly to a remote dataset without browsing. Use this option when you are already familiar with the connection details of the dataset you want to open. See Open Remote Dataset for details.
• Select File > Remote Connection Manager to create and manage remote database connections, browse datasets on servers, view dataset properties, and add frequently used connections to a Favorites list. See Remote Connection Manager for details.
• Use the ENVI::OpenRaster method in the ENVI API to programmatically access remote datasets.
